Most construction websites have one thing in common.

They were clearly built… and then immediately abandoned like a half-finished extension in February.

You land on the homepage and it proudly says:
“Welcome to our website.”

A bold opening. Really sets the tone. Inspiring stuff.

No mention of what they actually do.
No location.
No clue who it’s for.

Just vibes.

Here’s the truth.

Your website isn’t there to exist.
It’s there to answer a very specific question someone is typing into Google at 9:42pm:

“builder near me who actually turns up”

If your site doesn’t clearly say:

* what you do
* where you do it
* and why someone should trust you

…Google shrugs and moves on. And so does your next customer.

Another classic:

Your page title (the thing that shows in Google) says:
“Home”

Not “Loft Conversions in Glasgow”
Not “Reliable Groundworks Contractor in Kent”

Just… Home.

Even Google doesn’t know what that means. And Google knows everything.

And then there’s the photos.

Blurry.
Dark.
Taken at a distance like you were hiding from your own job.
