magniX, the company powering the electric age, today announced that its Samson batteries have been used for the first flight of Bye Aerospace’s eFlyer 2 prototype. The eFlyer 2 took off from Centennial Airport near Denver, Colorado, marking a significant milestone in the program.

This was the first flight to be powered by magniX’s Samson300 battery product. The Samson300 offers industry-leading energy density of 300 Wh/kg, unmatched cycle life of over 1,000 full-depth discharge cycles, and patented safety technologies. Samson batteries can be integrated into aircraft as part of a full magniX powertrain and are available as a standalone product. Delivering up to 800 volts, magniX batteries have been designed to meet the demands of mission-critical applications across a range of industries in aerospace and beyond, including data centers, energy storage, mobility, and defense.

Bye Aerospace’s eFlyer 2 is forecast to cost significantly less to operate than legacy piston training aircraft, is designed for rapid charging, and will produce zero emissions. This technology will disrupt the flight training market, where rising costs have contributed to a critical pilot shortage facing the global aviation industry.

Air Charter Expo Regional - Europe was formally announced by Show organisers The Air Charter Association and Business Air News at Air Charter Expo (ACE26) at London Biggin Hill Airport on 8 September. It was a highlight for the UK show which surpassed a record 2,100 visitors, from 62 nations, bolstered with a fully booked aircraft static.

Heralding the collaboration, Glenn Hogben, Chief Executive of The Air Charter Association commented: “We are delighted to be debuting our first Air Charter Expo Regional - Europe at AERO 2027 in Germany with a dedicated two and a half days of networking and educational workshops for the air charter community. NOEMI Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SkyHop Aviation, India's first dedicated commercial seaplane operator, to start with the introduction of up to 15 NOEMI amphibious aircraft into the Indian market.

SkyHop is building a dedicated seaplane network in India, with initial operations focused on connecting the islands of Lakshadweep with each other and with the mainland. The company is targeting a fleet of up to 40 aircraft by FY2030.

Under the MoU, SkyHop and NOEMI will evaluate the technical, operational, commercial and regulatory requirements for introducing NOEMI aircraft into SkyHop's future fleet.

The collaboration will also explore opportunities for a broader strategic partnership in India, including the potential for future manufacturing and assembly of electric and hybrid NOEMI aircraft in the country. Any such cooperation would be subject to further evaluation and separate agreements between the parties.

SkyHop plans to introduce up to 10 NOEMI aircraft by FY2030 through purchase, lease or a combination of both, subject to operational suitability, regulatory approvals, commercial evaluation and definitive agreements. The agreement also includes an option for five additional aircraft, subject to the successful introduction of the initial aircraft.

FAI rent-a-jet, Germany's leading provider of mission-critical aviation services, has further strengthened its fleet with the addition of a Bombardier Global 6000 (D-AFAN, MSN 9471). The acquisition was completed just five weeks after the letter of intent (LOI) was signed, underlining FAI's reputation for acting quickly and reliably in aircraft acquisitions.

The ultra long-range business jet is the second Global 6000 to join the fleet in 2026 and the seventh Bombardier Global series aircraft operated by FAI, bringing FAI’s all Bombardier business jet fleet to 18. The Global 6000 which has logged only 900 flight hours will be based at its Nuremberg headquarters and is available for immediate worldwide corporate charter.

Siegfried Axtmann, Founder and Chairman of FAI Aviation Group, said:

"The addition of our second Global 6000 further strengthens our ability to meet growing demand for long-range charter solutions. With its exceptional range, comfort and reliability, the aircraft is ideally suited to the needs of our international clientele.
