Never forgotten πŸ•―οΈ

Tonight at 7pm, families and friends around the world will light a candle for the babies who are loved and missed. It's called the Wave of Light, and it marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Jon wants to say thank you to everyone who has watched, shared and commented this week, and especially to those who reached out to share their own experiences. It means more than we can say.

Not knowing what to say is the reason most people say nothing. And silence is often what hurts most.

This Baby Loss Awareness Week, we've put together five things that help and three to avoid. None of them are clever. They don't need to be.

Swipe through, save it, and share it with someone who might need it one day.

Losing his son changed the way Jon runs his business.

It's why Delivered Social has worked with Sands free of charge since 2019, and why DS Green now builds free websites for charities.

Every business has something it's good at. What could yours do for a charity?

Jess has never experienced baby loss. But she used to work as a newborn photographer, and some of the families she photographed came in with a photo of the baby they had lost.

In this video, she shares what those families taught her, and what she now knows to say to someone who has lost a baby.

You don't need the perfect words. You just need to show up.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is personal for us.

Our founder Jon is a stillbirth father, and Sands - baby loss charity was there for him and his family. It's the reason we've worked with Sands free of charge since 2019, why we're a proud patron of Connor's Toy Library, and why our orange turns pink and blue every October.

Swipe to see why this week matters to Delivered Social and what we do about it.

And if this week is a hard one for you, the kettle's always on.

This one is for the dads. πŸ’™

After baby loss, people often ask how your partner is doing. They don't always ask how you are.

Jon speaks to every father and partner who has been through it, and to anyone who is holding it all in. Your grief matters too.

If you know a dad who's been through this, check in on him today.

Sands - baby loss charity supports dads too: www.sands.org.uk πŸ©·πŸ’™

If you're going through baby loss right now, this one is for you.

Jon shares the advice he'd give to anyone in those early days. Most of all: you are not alone. There are people who know exactly how you feel, and who are ready to listen.

Sands - baby loss charity offers support, guidance and a safe space for anyone affected: www.sands.org.uk πŸ©·πŸ’™

Somewhere, this is someone's first Baby Loss Awareness Week. For others, it's one of many.

Jon has a message for everyone: however you're feeling this week, it's okay. There's no right way to grieve, and no timeline for it.

If this week is a hard one, be kind to yourself, and know that Sands - baby loss charity is there all year round: www.sands.org.uk πŸ©·πŸ’™

Baby Loss Awareness Week started yesterday. But do you know how it began? πŸ©·πŸ’™

In 2002, a group of parents held the very first Baby Loss Awareness Day, selling handmade pink and blue ribbon pins. Today it's a full week, supported by more than 130 charities, with three aims: remembrance, raising awareness and driving change.

Swipe to find out more, and save the date for the Wave of Light: Thursday 15 October at 7pm.

Over the following week, our feed is dedicated to BLAW. We hope you'll follow along.
