Just spent a magical evening on Rydes Hill Common watching the eclipse 🌒✨. So heartwarming to see so many families come together in such a wonderful community spirit. Had a great time with That’s TV Surrey talking about our summer disco and the exciting plans for the Electric Theatre! 🎉 We’re working hard to create a safe, fun, and inspiring space for young people in Guildford—a place where they can connect, express themselves, and build a stronger community.

Last week, Ruth and I had a lovely coffee with Tim Avory, the owner of Toni & Guy Guildford and Godalming. Tim has been a huge part of the Guildford hairdressing family for years, mentoring many young people through their hair apprenticeships—including my nephew! It was fantastic to chat with him about our plans for alternative provision at the Electric Theatre, aiming to support young people aged 12 to 16 and give them a real kickstart.

We all know how fast time flies—before you know it, an apprenticeship is done, and young people sometimes miss out on key opportunities. So getting Tim’s thumbs up for our vision really means a lot.

While we were chatting, we also mentioned the Big Summer Party and that we were looking for a sponsor to help with some costs. I’m thrilled to say that Toni & Guy Guildford has stepped up to sponsor the event! Huge thanks to Tim and the team for their support and belief in what we’re doing. This partnership means the world to us!
