One week to go till the next Love Your Business networking event with our amazing guest speaker Dario Valente, who has an incredible track record when it comes to raising awareness for hundreds of businesses, including the Vittoria Group and Ellisons Property, through various channels, including LinkedIn.

Dario, who previously worked in sales for over 20 years, decided to fly solo and branch out on his own in 2020 initially specialising in media buying, then ghost writing to help businesses get noticed in crowded marketplaces.

Huge congratulations on your amazing new book launch today Anna Deacon - The Wild Fix.

It was so lovely hearing all about it at the Love Your Business networking event last week and how being in nature can help us feel more calm, connected and creative, and how to make sure we get our 'wild fix' every day.

I can't recommend it enough! Anna's photographs are just stunning too.

There are some great tips on wild swimming too, which I love especially where I live in Gullane and nearby in North Berwick and about the benefits, which include everything from improving circulation and supporting immune function to boosting dopamine and endorphins.

The book really is such a wonderful reminder of just how good a little bit of nature can be for our minds, bodies and wellbeing.

Loved hearing all about Anna Deacon's journey at Love Your Business last week, from founding a music PR agency in London and working on events like the NME and MOBO Awards to launching her latest book, The Wild Fix, which is out on the 3rd of September and a must-read!

Her story, which was full of lots of amazing pivots and saying ‘yes’ even when it was scary, and the power of networking was hugely inspiring. It was also great to hear about the words of wisdom from a famous chef who encouraged her to take the leap and set up her own agency.

Anna, who is also a fantastic photographer, has co-written nine books about nature, wild swimming and wellbeing, including The Ripple Effect and Swimming Wild Ireland but The Wild Fix is her first solo book and I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

Her photographs are just stunning, love the beach pic on Yell, which is on my swimming bucket list, and there are so many wonderful insights on the benefits of being in nature, including improving your memory and sleep, regulating stress and reducing anxiety and boosting mental health and happiness.

What an incredible morning yesterday at the Love Your Business 'networking by the sea' event with amazing business owners who came together to connect, collaborate and create new opportunities, which I am sure will lead to some really exciting partnerships!

There were lots of inspiring conversations and fresh ideas bouncing around and genuine connections being made, with a beautiful beach backdrop - as you can see in the wonderful photographs taken by the incredibly talented photographer Susan Heaton, who also runs a great networking club, Hug the Cactus.

One week to go till the Love Your Business networking event on Gullane beach!

This will the 3rd annual free networking event, designed to encourage business owners to get away from their screens and take some time to catch up with other founders in a beautiful and incredibly relaxed setting.

There's loads of benefits to networking - never mind by the sea where you can combine it with lots of fresh air, and maybe even a swim - including sharing contacts, referrals, bouncing ideas off each other and asking for help! I've always been a firm believer in 'a rising tide lifts all boats'.

So, if you fancy it, dig out your camp chair or blanket and come along with your own drink/snacks and spend some quality time working 'on' your business, it might just spark a bit of creativity and some fresh ideas.
