If you have followed our social media posts over the summer
You will no doubt have seen mention of the Rotary Sowerby Bridge’s helping the homeless projects - specifically The Rucksacks 4 Homeless scheme.
This is Rupert has been heavily involved on the comms side on behalf of Rotary since March of this year.
We have made a number of short films featuring people who have benefitted from the project, people who run the project and people who donate their time and skills to the project.
In early July, we filmed Andy and his wife Tracy - they talked about their situation.
As we wrapped up filming, Andy asked “Can we write you a song?”
Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I said “Sure!”
Then promptly forgot all about it until a week or so later when Andy’s MP3 dropped into my inbox.
NOW, up until this point, I had paid for and had been using the rights to Paul Weller’s song (or at least the backing track) Broken Stones. The branding for the project was heavily influenced by it too.
Suddenly, we have this brilliant song - gifted to the cause.
If you click below, you can see the video we made for it featuring Andy and Tracy.
There will be CDs available to purchase soon - all money from sales will be donated to the Rotary Rucksacks 4 Homeless charity.
Hope you like it.
