There are just 10 days to go until the new GDPR laws come into effect so I’m offering my help to any previous or current customers for free (or wine) to help them with compliance.
For a small business it’s not as complicated as it sounds but anyone who holds customer or staff data* legally needs to have a few things in place before May 25th. If you need help writing and delivering a privacy policy, regulating your marketing or just explaining it in simple terms, just ask- in most cases, I believe I can take any fear of the jargon away and have you on the road to compliance in a couple of hours.
GDPR will replace the current data protection laws and there is also a PECR (privacy and electronic communications regulations) update within it, if you regularly text, use email updates or send marketing/ advertising to customers then you must follow GDPR regulations ASAP, again this is something I can help with and uncomplicate for you!
Ive been immersed in this for months now, had extensive legal advice and delivered training on the subject within my current company and I’m also aware that people, especially in the case of small businesses, are being charged for help and this is why I’m now offering help to friends and customers with their own companies where this might have passed them by.
*Data= any personal identifier: name, addresss, date of birth, phone, bank details, photographs, use of names and details on websites and social media...a whole heap of stuff!
