A wonderful visit to UCLeeds’ new Mabgate campus. The Performing Arts – Acting degree students now have fantastic access to the Innovation Hub and its media training facilities.

I’m really looking forward to working with the acting students in a couple of weeks and continuing into next year.

It’s inspiring to see our group’s services in both business and dentistry continue to grow alongside our expanding team.

My journey into dentistry began with a background in business advisory and marketing management, following years of experience working in business development and education. Since 2017, I’ve had the privilege of supporting the growth of businesses and people within dentistry, which is also when I had the opportunity to work alongside the highly experienced practice manager Rachel Dilley.

In 2023, we came together once again to establish Liberty Dental Group, expanding our team and opening our first squat practice - an NHS practice that had closed at the start of the Covid pandemic and required significant renovation and a new clinical team.

I’m excited for what the future holds for me and our dedicated team, who continually go above and beyond to drive our success.

Even as a business owner, it’s so important to take a step back and recharge. Today, I’m embracing a wellbeing day with my favorite snow-loving companion - my dog! We’ve been outside throwing snowballs, soaking in all the winter magic, and just enjoying the moment.

Now, it’s time to cozy up at home with a warm cuppa in hand and reflect on the little joys. Remember, rest isn’t just a reward - it’s part of the process.

In 2023, I joined forces with Rachel Dilley, and helped shape and develop Liberty Dental Group. Our first venture was the acquisition and renovation of an NHS dental practice that had closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Transforming it into a thriving private practice was no small feat, but it’s a testament to the power of teamwork and our shared vision. Today, Liberty Dental Group is growing rapidly, expanding both its services and team.

Despite my accomplishments, I often struggle with imposter syndrome. Transitioning into the dental industry and achieving success feels very surreal at times. Having spent much of my career in business development, I sometimes question whether I truly belong in Dentistry and especially as a practice owner.

But each day, I remind myself of the dedication and resilience that has brought me here. The work I do is a reflection of my efforts, and I know I’ve earned my place.

Liberty Dental Group is still in its infancy, but our vision is clear. We are building more than a business - we are creating a community of professionals who are committed to exceptional service. From renovating a single practice to expanding into a larger network, our journey shows that progress is always possible. Thanks to friends and colleagues who have helped along the way!
