We give every business we run Google Ads for access to all of their call recordings, and it’s one of the highest impact things we’ve done as an agency.
It sounds like a small thing. It turns out to be one of the most useful tools a business owner has, and we’re big on it for a few reasons:
- You can take a call on the move and listen back to it properly later, instead of half-remembering what was said.
- You can hear how your team actually handle enquiries, and coach them on the calls that slipped rather than guessing.
- You can sharpen your own approach. Hearing yourself on a call is the fastest way to improve how you sell.
- You can tie a real revenue figure back to an enquiry and see the conversation behind it, not just a phone number sitting in a report.
There’s a reason it matters to us as the agency too. Recordings let us hear the quality of the calls we’re generating, not just the count. We can tell a genuine buyer from a spam call, and stop the junk being fed back into Google Ads as a conversion, which keeps the campaigns learning from real customers.
We use WhatConverts for all our call tracking and transcription. It adds a cost to us as an agency every month, but the insights we get back make it more than worth it.
