2 types of ads. 2 types of audiences. If you’re thinking about Google Ads - learning the difference between these is key 🗝

• Google Search ads (the standard text ads you see on Google when you search for something) are aimed at either browsers or active buyers. Through Google Ads, you can create search adverts to reach people exactly when they're interested in the products and/or services that you offer.

• Google Display ads are the ones shown on the articles, videos, or websites that consumers browse. Images, videos, gifs. We’ve all seen them on the top, bottom and side of webpages. The goal of these is to only be shown to potential customers who have an interest in your service. They might have visited your website before - but not enquired yet, or they may have visited a competitors site.

Both Search and Display are comparable but should not be pitted against one another as they both serve a different purpose. And using both will help towards the ultimate goal of achieving a well rounded marketing plan (aka optimising different touch-points in order to achieve the best results possible).

I’ve been asked this question a lot over the years and the answer is actually pretty quick and fairly simple 👏🏻 Swipe for more ➡️🙂

A couple of further notes…
•Google will always prioritise adverts over organic search results (aka anything that isn’t an advert). It makes them money so why not!
•Google Ads serve a different purpose to social ads and some might argue capture quick wins over the slower burn of Insta and Facebook advertising

Traditionally known as the 2 days not to post anything too important, in recent years, I’ve personally found Saturday and Sunday valuable in their own right ✨

Key points:
• Consider a more casual tone. But don’t ask or expect too much from your audience in terms of poll posts / written feedback.
• Gage and post when your followers are currently online and active. The Instagram algorithm prioritises regency so this is a sure and steady way to get the most from your upload.
• Midday on either a Saturday or Sunday is a definite cold spot for engagement. Whilst lunch time on weekdays are perfect for a 12pm upload… People are more likely to be engaging with their family during their weekend meals.
• Saturday engagement is higher in the morning / Sunday is higher of the evening (but not too late, around 7pm is perfect).
