Hi, I’m Michael, founder of Burning Leaf Creatives — a small, independent design studio nestled away in the Kent countryside. 🌿

I work directly with the people behind the organisations I design for — listening, questioning, thinking and creating alongside them to turn ideas into something meaningful.

I have a burning desire to make the world a little better, and to help people and organisations become the best versions of themselves.

With years of experience across graphic design, website design and marketing, I’m an optimist who genuinely believes that when people work in happier, more positive and creative ways, good things happen — for organisations, communities and the people they serve.

I’m also fascinated by the power of design.

How can creative thinking make something complicated easier to understand? How can a website communicate something in seconds? And how can great design make you stop, look twice and maybe even take your breath away?

That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

💬 “He took the ideas and thoughts that I had scribbled down and created something amazing.”

This is exactly why I love what I do.

Not every great website starts with a polished brief. Sometimes it starts with a notebook full of scribbles, half-formed ideas and a feeling of “I know what I want it to say… I just don't know how to make it work.”

My job is to listen, understand what makes you and your business different, and turn those thoughts into a website that feels genuinely you.

So hearing that this website “portrays me as a person as well as my business ethos” means a lot.

And being described as someone who creates “masterpieces”? Well… I’ll happily take that! 😀🌿
