For my connections with smaller email lists (~3000 contacts or below): On today's HeyPip / HighLevel User Q&A call, I'll be covering the topic of list management and engagement, as well as different ways to manage it automatically, using what others might jazz up by calling "AI", but I'll call it what it is: list management and rules-based automation.

There's a lot of ๐Ÿ’ฉ email marketing advice out there that overlooks the fundamentals I'm going through today.

In this business, I'm on a LOT of email lists, and barely anybody gets this right. If I'm on your list, there's a strong chance you'll learn something very actionable today.

A lot of people say that August is a quiet month for them. Itโ€™s typically my busiest month. Itโ€™s because the business owners I work with have downtime at this time of year to contemplate where theyโ€™re at, and what might help them make the shift to the next step in their business.

Iโ€™m back in the office on Monday after my own break. Most โ€˜new workโ€™ slots are already booked up with new clients and some work with some existing client faves. But if youโ€™re reading this and thinking, โ€œyes, I want my business to work harder for meโ€ then book in a chat to see where more complete systems might play a role for you: missing leads, leads dropping off, better sales processes, becoming more refer-ableโ€ฆ However busy I am, I always leave time in my diary for these types of calls.

Most AI training focuses on prompts and tools. But most miss one or more of these critical three parts... ๐ŸŽฏ

Three critical elements that Lexie Barker combines that many others don't:

1๏ธโƒฃ Teaching you the actual language of AI (not just copy-paste prompts)
2๏ธโƒฃ Systematic flow so you stop re-inventing the wheel every interaction
3๏ธโƒฃ Keeping your unique personality and heart in everything AI creates

That third one? That's where most businesses fall down. They get generic outputs because they haven't taught their AI who they really are.

I asked my business bestie Allan to explain it using the magic of cards to the good people of ๐Ÿช„ A lot of people left Newcastle with signed LEMONADE Plan playing cards as reminders to take a look at where that process gap needs a bit more zest, or where other ones need to be as juicy as another.

๐Ÿค Networking tip for hashtag (and every other event): Turn your phone into a connection machine.

You know that slightly awkward moment at the end of a good conversation when you're trying to connect on LinkedIn or Instagram? There's a much smoother way.

Both platforms have built-in QR codes that most people never use:

โžก๏ธ LinkedIn: Tap the search bar on mobile โ†’ click the QR code icon โ†’ save to photos
โžก๏ธ Instagram: Go to your profile โ†’ "Share Profile" โ†’ download QR code

But here's where it gets clever: Create a phone wallpaper with both codes on it.
I use Canva to create a phone wallpaper template, add a fave photo as the background, then drop both QR codes on top.

Now when someone wants to connect, I just show them my lock screen and they scan whichever platform they prefer.

No more spelling out names, no more "are you the Gareth Everson with the yellow logo?" It's immediate, it's smooth, and it makes you look properly organised.

For ATOMICON attendees: This works brilliantly in those packed networking sessions when you're meeting loads of people quickly. Less time faffing with contact details, more time having proper conversations.

Worth setting up before you head to Newcastle next week.
