The Makers are back .... well virtually for now anyway 🤗

Last night a few of the stitches crew (& Dexter dog) threw a baby shower for our very gorgeous Kelly who is due to have her baby end of august 👶 🍼
‘5 years ago this September coming’ what started as a few ladies wanting to sew & learn together developed into a lovely group of life long friends .... and all through the love of sewing 💓 .... we are back in September for more frivolity in lovely old Grayswood .... do get in touch if you’d like us to keep you posted ... have a great summer Julie x

Lovely evening spent at “Meet the makers” with Sarah Chatterton Textiles .... so patient & made learning Free Motion such a relaxing & chilled experience .... think the follow up workshop is needed .... 😉 ... thanks to all that came .... J x

For all the ladies on our willow workshop on Wednesday ... we have some valuable info on sweet pea growing & care from our lovely gardening expert Shirley Lewis.

"When transplanting sweet peas careful not to disturb their roots too much. Tie them in when they're still young and floppy. They'll then wind themselves around supports. They are prone to mildew so water at the base - water the soil, not leaves! (their roots don't like to dry out), and ensure good airflow. Plant/place pot in full sun and deadhead regularly to increase flowering. If compost is rich they don't need fertiliser but if you do, use the same stuff you'd give to tomatoes " 🙂

We have updated our blog .... pop over to have a little read all about how our little group started almost five years ago & still going & growing ...... everyone welcome - you don't need to join a membership - its just lots of lovely friendly ladies who love to craft, chat & eat cake!! Whats not to like :)) ..... pop over for a read & then tell us what you'd like to see more of in future workshops .... we've tried most things but happy to go back & have an other go ...p.s....your always welcome to bring own projects too .... come & join us you'll love it just as much as we do .... p.s..... booking is a must for all guest makers classes to save disappointment on the day.
