When the fabric chosen by the designer failed to be sent but the dealine can't move and you need some brown fabric... your fabric stash fails you, but you turn to Hastings Queen of All Shades of Brown.... and she saves the day.

A couple of days before I headed off to the sun for a much needed holiday, I got this! Was very honoured to have embroidered His Majesty's shirt for the coronation. I had no idea I would get a medal for my stitching.

What a lucky little stitcher I am! This amazing box of goodies arrived yesterday. The ladies from Cohana were in London to do an event at and popped into to drop off these bits to the tailor that worked on the King's shirt... as they had been told by a customer in Japan that their scissors were in one of the photos. I bought the pink shears earlier this year from , and they were perfect for cutting out the silk that the shirt was made from. Only had one chance when cutting into the cloth, and after all these hours of embroidering and the pressure to make the collar and cuffs up, my pink shears didn't let me down!
