Want to write an ace LinkedIn post that stops your reader scrolling and glues their eyes to your content?
We write a ton of LinkedIn posts. (And we harshly judge a load, too.)
Here's what we reckon works to get you more visibility and leads.
#1 - Use a killer hook that your reader either:
a) hasn't seen before or
b) tickles their curiosity so much they can't not read
(And yeah, we realise the one on this carousel doesn't exactly fall into that category - but you're still here, aren't you?)
#2 - Keep it as concise as possible.
Not short. Just the words you need to make your point.
And not flabby. Like ChatGPT thinking it's some kinda PhD student trying to make word count.
Write what you need and not a word more.
(Hint: there's ALWAYS room for humour)
#3 - Use images of people.
Yeah, we hate ourselves for writing this. But it's LinkedIn's playground, it's their rules.
And selfies rule the day.
Remember, readers like seeing human faces.
Even yours.
#4 - Choose the right hashtags.
This does make a difference.
Search for relevant ones and test a few. Don't go over the top, though.
You don't need more hashtags than body copy.
#5 - Don't be boring.
There are so many people on LinkedIn copying each other's content and style.
It may give you a boost, but consider who's actually reading.
If you want to attract the right audience, speak to what they want or need.
You may not appeal to everyone.
But you will appeal to someone.
#6 - Don't be a baby and flounce off when you don't get 1bn views on your 3rd post.
Results take time. Not a lot, though.
Post at a regular rhythm you'll stick to. And if you can't...
#7 - Face up to the truth and get someone else to do it for you.
This isn't a pitch for our services, btw.
Just use someone who can do this more consistently than you, if you want to get results.
