WordPress tip for ensuring deliverability or fixing undelivered emails from your site (a reference for other CMS users). Recent changes by major email providers—including Microsoft, Gmail, and Yahoo—have tightened requirements for transactional emails. Contact form alerts, password resets, and other automated messages may now be blocked or sent to the web's spam black hole, never to be seen again.
If it's happening to you. or you want to get ahead of the game, consider implementing an email-sending service like Brevo, Mailgun, or Postmark. Brevo is free for up to 300 emails!
After creating an account on Brevo the instructions are easy to follow and once you're setup and have installed their Brevo SMTP plugin, they can often automatically introduce the necessary settings on your hosting server.
In this short article you can learn what is going on and how to fix it. A list of hosting providers that they can automatically alter DNS records for is at the bottom of this post so scroll down to find yours.
Test your website forms regularly to ensure you are getting notifications from your contact forms.
