On the journey back from picking up our first print carousel all the talk was about ‘the dream’. In my head it looked a bit like the above. Self powered, rainwater harvesting, green fields, beautiful views. An off-grid print studio.
That was 20 years ago. A lot has happened since and sometimes it felt like moving further from not closer to the dream.
In June this year we make the biggest step towards that dream.

Black and Fluoro Green with super tight registration where the two colours interact.

Street Soccer uses football to create lasting positive change�for the most at risk and socially disadvantaged people across Scotland & London.

Thoroughly nice people doing thoroughly nice things.

These swing tags were to go on their and football shirts, donated by supporters and the wider public and sold to fund their excellent work.

Absolute pleasure to be a small part of it.

DTG prints onto organic cotton hoodies for TrueLayer.

DTG requires a pre-treatment solution to be applied to the garments, which is then dried and flattened before printing. The pre-treats can leave a visible discoloring and some colours are really tricky. A lot of testing and tweaking is required which has to be repeated for each different garment, even if it is the same colour from the same manufacturer.

The effort is worth it though. Super bold and super bright DTG prints.

Vegan approved inks and garments, GOTS certified garments and GOTS approved inks.

For Arktis

High solids water based screen printing is all about the knowledge, skill and graft. Its requires constant focus on the condition of the ink. We're not going to lie, its difficult and can be stressful when humidity is low and/or the temperature is high.

It's worth the work though. There is something about high solids water based screen prints that can't be matched by any other method. In an industry that has moved from thick ugly plastisol prints to thin but often underwhelming DTF prints, the water based screen printer that can print with high solids water based ink produces products that are (still) on another level.

These vegan approved 100% organic cotton t-shirts are printed with low solids water based ink. The ink behaves much like a dye, absorbing into the fabric to create a print that is not only beautifully soft but also bold. What's more impressive though is when cured correctly, the ink is incredibly wash fast and long lasting.
