Hey everyone! 👋
It's been a little while — life has been keeping me very busy lately 😅
That said, I’ve managed to squeeze in some time for designing, and it's been a mix of progress and a few hiccups. Had my first real issues with the printer (learning curve = steep!), but it's all back up and running now. 🤞 Hoping to get a few prints done tomorrow and start sharing more photos again!

Here’s one from earlier this week:
A friend asked me to design a custom door latch, so I got to work after checking out a few ideas online. Ended up going with a dovetail plate so the screws are hidden — and I have to say, it works like a dream!

🎉 Small wins, big leaps! 🚀

I’ve officially survived my first month wrangling Blender—and for someone who’s never done design work on a computer before, that’s saying something! 😅

Totally self-taught (shoutout to YouTube & Google 🙌), but I'm actually pretty proud of how far I’ve come!

Big thanks to Richard at React Trampoline & Gymnastics for letting me play around with the club logo—after many trials (and a few errors 🙃), I’ve managed to create Croc charms and bag tags!

Keep your eyes peeled… this is just the beginning! 💻✨🌀

Another awesome downloaded spinner —this one spins right off the build plate and spins like a champ! No assembly, no fuss—just print and go!

Even more exciting… I’ve been diving into Blender and finally making real progress with 3D modeling! Unique, custom designs are in the works and I can’t wait to start printing my own creations. Big things coming soon—stay tuned!

Finally got the time-lapse for the fidget cube I printed—and I’m pretty excited to share it! After a bit of head-scratching, I figured out that in order to generate the time-lapse in Bambu Studio, the printer actually needs to be turnedon, turns out, the time-lapse file gets stored directly on the SD card, not on your computer like I originally thought.

Once I got that sorted, everything clicked into place—just like the fidget cube itself (which, by the way, prints fully assembled and ready to play with straight off the bed!). Watching the entire thing come together layer by layer is seriously mesmerizing. Can’t wait to make more of these and capture some even cooler prints in action!

Been playing around a bit more with downloaded files, and I’ve gotta say—I’m genuinely amazed at how these models print. The print-in-place designs are next-level! No assembly required—just hit print, let the machine do its thing, and boom: a fully functional fidget toy right off the bed. Watching the articulated parts come out perfectly aligned and ready to move is so satisfying. Now that I’m getting the hang of things, stay tuned—timelapse videos are on the way.

Downloaded a few more prints today as I continue getting familiar with Bambu Studio, the slicing software from Bambu Labs. There’s definitely a lot to explore—so many settings and customization options that I haven’t even scratched the surface of yet. From layer height adjustments to support structures and print speeds, it’s clear this slicer has a ton of potential for fine-tuning. That said, it’s incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, even for someone still finding their way around. Excited to keep experimenting and see how far I can push my prints!

Just wrapped up my very first print on the Bambu Labs P1S, and wow—I’m genuinely impressed! Setup was a breeze: from unboxing to my first layer, everything just worked. The automatic bed leveling, smooth calibration process, and intuitive interface made it feel almost too easy. Within minutes, I was watching clean, crisp lines being laid down like magic. For a machine with this much power and precision, it’s surprisingly user-friendly. Can’t wait to dive into multi-color prints and push it to the limits!
