The VOCES8 Foundation is pleased to announce that, beginning in the 2026/27 season, long-standing ensemble member Blake Morgan will transition into a new role as VOCES8 Ambassador and Associate Artist.

After a decade as a full-time singer with the group, Blake will step away from his permanent tenor seat within the ensemble to embrace a broader artistic and educational portfolio. In this new position, he will continue to work closely with VOCES8 through a range of creative projects including writing music for the group, performing in selected concerts, producing digital media, and leading workshops.

The Three Choirs Festival announces Andrew Reid as the new Artistic Director of the Hereford Three Choirs Festival, following his appointment as Hereford Cathedral’s Director of Music and Conductor of the Hereford Choral Society. Andrew succeeds Geraint Bowen, who announced his retirement in September 2025 after 24 years in the position. The Three Choirs Festival is the longest-running classical music festival in the world, and the next edition in Hereford, which takes place in 2028, will be the 300th festival.

PETWORTH FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES NEW ARTISTIC LEADERSHIP: STEWART COLLINS STEPS DOWN AS ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

After 15 amazing years as Petworth Festival Artistic Director, Stewart Collins has decided to step down from programming the Proms and Summer Festivals. He will continue as Director of the Literary Festival.

The 2026 Proms and Summer Festival seasons will be Stewart’s final programmes. Everyone at the Petworth Festival applauds his extraordinary achievements as the festival has grown from strength to strength. The 2025 festivals have by any measure been the most successful in our long history.

As we prepare to celebrate the Petworth Festival’s 50th anniversary in 2029, we are delighted to announce the appointment of two world class musicians, violinist Lizzie Ball
and pianist Charles Owen as co-Artistic Directors from 1 September 2026. It is testament to Stewart’s legacy that the festival can attract such extraordinary talent.

Music at Oxford: 90 Years of Arvo Pärt is underway! We started the week with and , followed by yesterday’s insightful conversation between Michael Pärt and David James (Hilliard Ensemble).
