INTERVIEWS ARE TWO-WAY.

Asking questions at the end of an interview is your chance to show curiosity, professionalism, and genuine interest in the role.

Good questions can strengthen your impression. Poor ones can unintentionally signal the wrong priorities.

Here are some examples

Drop me a DM to set-up interview practice.

More often than not, the opening question at an interview will be something like 'Tell me about yourself', or 'Summarise your CV for me'. This question is often a reflection of an Interviewer that is poorly prepared (and hasn't read your CV!), but whether you sell yourself well in that opener, or waffle can often set the tone for the whole interview. How should you approach it?

Screw blue Monday. Today is supposed to be the most depressing Monday of the year. And it is always worse if you're in a job role you dread (that gives you the sunday scaries).

But listen to someone who knows.

- If you are in a role now or have a boss that knocks your confidence. Blame the role. Not yourself.
- People who are bullies. It says more about them than it does about you.
- Life is more than work. Anyone who is obsessed with their work needs to get a life.
- You won't sit in your rocking chair age 85, wishing you'd made more money for someone else.

If you're going through at bad patch at work, remember this time will pass.

Someone once said to me, if the thing/person that is bothering you won't be important/remembered in a year, it is not worth worrying about.

Before you lose a sleepless night worrying about someone's opinion of you, think carefully if you really respect their opinion. Many a time I have realised that I am stressed by someone who I really shouldnt give a darn about.

I've worked for 30 years in marketing in corporates, family businesses and everything in between. Now using my marketing skills to help individuals with their personal branding and confidence hacks.

So here we are. 2026.

What has changed since 2025? If your answer is 'not much' and you wish things were different, it could be time to inject some energy in to how you approach your job hunt and career.

Personal Branding may sound like a fancy term, but all it really means is 'how you show up' - whether that is your social profiles, your CV, how your approach an interview, or simply finding that confidence to succeed.

Drop me a DM for session info and pricing.

Today I ended the working year on a high. I met with a Personal Branding client and we had a session on how to step into a new phase of your career with confidence....

Think of yourself like you are marketing a product or service
- What are you selling/offering? What makes you, uniquely you.
- Who is the target audience that needs to know this?
- Where will you find them and how do you get their attention?

We also looked at some confidence hacks that I have personally found useful over the years. There is no magic bullet but sometimes just talking these things through gives a fresh perspective.

Start the new year with new energy, DM for more details.

Merry Christmas everybody xx
