We’ve recently launched a new website for a Brighton & Hove based electrician and solar company.

They came to us with an old Wix site that wasn’t really working for them anymore. It looked dated, was slow, and wasn’t generating enquiries.

We rebuilt it properly from the ground up to focus on performance, clear structure, and SEO so it actually brings in leads rather than just sitting there.

A lot of Wix, Squarespace and AI-generated sites we’re seeing at the moment end up looking very similar. They might be quick to set up, but they rarely perform well when it comes to Google rankings or converting visitors into customers.

If your website is meant to bring in work, it needs to do more than just exist.

If you want a site that’s built to generate enquiries, get in touch.

Pretty happy with how this Meta campaign is performing so far for a watch making kit / gift brand I’m running ads for.

We’re currently at 149 sales, £6,482 revenue, 6.8x ROAS and £6.38 cost per purchase off £950.62 spend. Pretty strong results for this stage, especially for a more seasonal product that really comes into its own around Christmas and Father’s Day.

It’s a great product and client to be working on and I’m really enjoying running it at the moment. The plan now is to build up enough data through the website and ads so we can really start tightening things up and push for the best possible ROI all year round as we scale.

Once we’ve got more data in the account and a clearer picture of what’s driving the best conversions, there’s plenty of room to push performance further.

If you run an ecommerce brand and want to increase sales through Meta ads, feel free to reach out.

Good marketing isn’t random.

The best enquiries don’t happen by accident, they come from understanding the industry, understanding the customer, and planning campaigns properly from the start.

Anyone can throw together a few ads and hope for the best, but when you understand buyer intent, timing, positioning and how homeowners actually think before making a decision, the quality of enquiries completely changes.

This latest lead came through at an estimated £81,000 project value for a heat pump installation on a block of flats, and the client was absolutely over the moon with it. That’s why experience matters.

After years of working with trades and renewable energy companies across the UK, we know how to attract enquiries that are genuinely worth having, not just cheap leads that go nowhere.

If you run a heat pump or renewable energy business and want marketing that’s properly thought through, drop me a message on whatsapp and we can arrange a call.

This is a brilliant example of a brand built around real, natural ingredients and thoughtful formulation.

Island Source is a UK-based brand focused on creating products using naturally derived, organic ingredients, designed to support everyday wellbeing through simple, effective nutrition.

We’ve just worked with them on their new website to help better showcase their products, story, and commitment to clean, island-inspired sourcing.

If you’re into natural health, clean living, and properly sourced ingredients, it’s definitely worth a look.

If you run an air conditioning company in the UK right now, you should be absolutely flat out. If you’re not, something’s seriously wrong with your marketing.

I’m working with multiple air con companies at the moment and they’re all smashing it!

One client came to me in November after spending nearly £5,000 with another agency over just a couple of months and only getting 2 installs. Their entire ad setup was a single photo they provided with some AI-generated text. That was it.

I was cautious launching in November given the timing, but it actually performed far better than expected, outperforming some of his previous best months. After the latest optimisation two weeks ago, it’s now got to the point where they’ve had to scale it down to £10 a day because they simply can’t keep up with enquiries coming in from Facebook.

That’s obviously the goal, but as a lot of our client's will tell you, it can be a little overwhelming if your not used to it.

And I understand why people are sceptical. A lot of businesses have been burned by agencies before.

The issue is most are just recycling the same tired setups and wondering why nothing changes.

I’ve even seen similar ad styles being reused elsewhere in the same space after they’ve worked.

That’s just how this industry goes.

If you’re in home improvements or installation work and still relying on Checkatrade, Bark and similar platforms, it might be worth having a conversation.

I’ve been doing this for a long time, not a few months like many freelancers and agencies, and I know what actually brings in consistent, scalable leads.

You can check my 920+ 5-star reviews online and message me directly on WhatsApp here if you want to talk it through:

Another productive video shoot wrapped up.

With the solar industry becoming more competitive than ever, the message behind the camera is now just as important as the installation itself. Anyone can point a camera at panels on a roof, but if you cannot educate, build trust, and clearly explain the long-term value to homeowners, the message gets lost.

One thing we are seeing more and more within renewables is people focusing heavily on short-term setup costs instead of long-term savings, energy independence, and future-proofing their homes. That is why every piece of content needs to be carefully thought through, structured properly, and delivered in a way that actually connects with the audience.

Solar is not a one-size-fits-all solution. A good installer understands that every property, every family, and every energy usage pattern is different. The real value comes from educating customers properly, understanding both current and projected usage, and designing a system that genuinely suits their needs rather than just selling panels.

After 25 years in marketing, one thing has always stayed the same. The businesses that win long term are the ones that communicate clearly, position themselves as trusted experts, and consistently put out the right message. Good marketing is not about hype, it is about understanding people, building confidence, and helping customers make informed decisions.

With energy prices expected to rise again, it is no surprise solar demand continues to grow. More homeowners are looking for stability, savings, and control over their energy costs, and strong communication is a huge part of helping people make that move with confidence.

Today a guy messaged me on WhatsApp with two questions: “what’s your cost?” and “how many leads can you get me?”

Normally I’d jump on a quick call to explain that lead volume isn’t a fixed number. It depends on a lot of variables like ad spend, offer, market, and overall approach. More importantly, it’s not about chasing quantity anyway, it’s about generating quality enquiries from people actually looking for your service.

But he didn’t want to talk, which I can understand. A lot of people have been burned by platforms like Checkatrade and Bark, where it’s all volume and very little substance.

He then said I was avoiding his questions and asked what proof I had of generating sales. I sent over a screenshot of a few clients who are genuinely smashing it, along with the fact I’ve got over 930 five-star reviews online and have been doing this for over 25 years.

His response was, “now I know you’re full of s***.”

He then said he’d be around the next day but would “need to work on price.” I simply said, “No thanks, I’ll give it a miss.”

The reality is, when you’re good at what you do, you’re not desperate for every enquiry that comes in. I’m in a fortunate position where I can choose who I work with. Every call goes both ways, I’m assessing them just as much as they’re assessing me. And if something doesn’t feel right, I won’t proceed.

I’m genuinely proud of the reputation I’ve built. Those 930+ reviews didn’t come easy. They came from late nights, great clients, difficult clients, and consistently going above and beyond no matter the situation.

Even though I don’t rely on People Per Hour as much anymore, that work ethic has carried through into everything I do today.

It’s simple really. If you come to me and I decide to work with you, it’s because I see potential in your business. Not just for leads, but for actually being able to deliver on them. The worst outcome for me is sending you business you can’t handle. That helps no one.

Another day, another script, this time with Alex and the team at Omni Origin in Gloucester.

We know solar well, but every business does things slightly differently, so there’s always more to learn. I’ve genuinely learned a lot from Alex, he’s become a friend through the process and he’s one of those really inspiring guys you just naturally click with from the start.

The team know their stuff, and it made the whole shoot really enjoyable. In fact, it went so well we’ve already booked in a second shoot for the other side of their business.

If you’re a solar installer looking for a solid, honest marketing partner, with over 900 five-star online reviews, get in touch.

Took just over 5 months to get here, but we finally did it. Really proud of this guy.

I don’t often take the time to shout about client success stories, but Josh genuinely deserves it.

He’s a young electrician with a lot of drive who wanted to shift his focus towards EV installations in particular.

When we started working together, the goal was 60 installs a month (around 2 per day). On the left is February’s screenshot showing 51 installs in January, and on the right is him hitting that 60+ target. (albeit 2 months later) but we got there!

A great example of what consistency, focus, and hard work can lead to.
