Secure website portal created for Sonaspection.

The portal is for their global resellers to access marketing and sales assets to support the promotion of Sonaspection products.

Each user has a login to access the website, so that activity can be monitored, including which files are the most popular and who uses the portal most frequently.

The admin team have a master login where they can control all files, folders and categorisation. They can also administrate the reseller user accounts.

The portal has a clean, grid layout, with category filtering on the left-hand-side. There is also a search bar pinned to the top, with a category filter built into it. Finally, we also created an Asset Request Form, where the logged-in user can ask the admin team for a file to be added to the portal.

Since launch last week, the portal already has 14 active users.

Websites don't do holidays, but hopefully you do!

Your website should not require you to be at work in order to keep business moving; it should still be answering questions, taking enquiries, processing bookings, filtering leads, and giving customers the confidence to act.

That only happens if the right foundations are in place before you go.

A good holiday checklist for your website is simple:

1. Clear service pages - so visitors can understand what you do without needing to call for basic information.

2. Strong contact routes - enquiry forms, email links, click-to-call buttons, and maps all working properly.

3. Automated confirmations - so people know their enquiry has been received and what happens next.

4. Booking or payment systems - where relevant, so sales do not stop because you are away.

5. Fast, mobile-friendly pages - because most people will not wait for a slow site to load.

6. Updated security and backups - so you are not returning to avoidable problems.

7. Analytics and tracking - so you can see what happened while you were off.

The aim is not to remove the human element. It is to make sure your website handles the first stage properly, so you return to useful enquiries rather than missed opportunities.

A well-built website should keep working quietly in the background. Even when you are not!

New website launched for Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club.

The club General Manager, Richard, contacted BY Design as he wanted someone to deliver his vision of a new website.

Richard had two clear goals for the site. Firstly, to have a strong visual impact which showcases the stunning course and landscape surrounding the club. This includes a drone-footage video header for the home page, alongside a selection of new, premium quality images throughout the site. Secondly, he wanted the site to be easy for him and the internal team to manage and update. This includes competition results, offers in the shop and through the coaching service, as well as the course status.

This was a very enjoyable project to work on and we are pleased to share the finished result.

It was great to reconnect with Richard too, as we were friends at school some thirty years ago, and used to enjoy playing football at lunchtimes most days. To have the opportunity to work together in a professional capacity brought things full circle.

Looking ahead, phase two of the project will be to streamline the visitor booking system, using some automation and online payment software. Discussions for this are now underway.

Welcome to Blackpool & Fylde Glass, who have moved their website hosting to BY Design.

Business owner Steve reached out to BY Design following a bad experience. His primary domain name was lost, and the site had been hacked, so it needed moving, repairing, and restoring onto his secondary domain name.

We completed all of the above within a few days, and guided Steve through the process to reassure him.

The process now begins to restore his Google rankings for the website following the loss of the primary domain name. We will also be completing some design updates and adding new content to showcase recent commercial glass jobs across the Blackpool and Fylde area.

Looking forward to working with Steve and the team on this one.

Website rebuild completed for BBP Legal.

Having hosted the BBP site for some time now, there was always a couple of key issues with the site that needed to be improved.

Firstly, large elements of it were hard-coded, meaning the staff couldn't update certain sections unless they happened to understand PHP code. Whilst we are always happy to help them make changes, sometimes it's much easier for them to jump on and just change an opening time, or add a note about a closure day, so this functionality has been restored.

Secondly, the site had grown over time, and was sitting at around 90 pages of content, plus over 100 articles and posts. There's nothing wrong with a large website, but much of it was repeating itself and competing for the same search terms, and it also created quite a few loops, where you click a few times and then end up back at the same place.

We sat down with Nicola, Director, and planned out the new navigation and core content. The idea being to have specific landing pages for the main services offered, each of which then offers direct calls to action, along with a bespoke contact form within the scroll.

Nicola was happy with the overall design, so we stayed faithful to that, and just implemented some subtle tweaks, particularly to improve the mobile user experience and navigation.

There will be further fine-tuning to the copy over the coming weeks, but it was great to see the rebuilt site go live last week.

Welcome to Trimpell Sports and Social Club, who have moved their website hosting to BY Design and have commissioned a brand new website to be built next month.

The committee reached out to BY Design as they wanted to work with a local provider to help them build a new, interactive website to replace their existing one.

The brief for the new design is to promote function room hire (income generation) through on page content and SEO/AI optimisation, to encourage membership of the club, and to be a hub for their in-house events.

They would like the new website to be simple to navigate, with good local search performance across their stakeholder groups, and to embed their social media feeds so that the website is closely aligned with their content on Facebook and Instagram. There will also be an ongoing monthly management plan in place to help the committee keep this popular community website up-to-date.

Looking forward to working with the committee to deliver this project.

New website launched for South Lakes Decorating.

Business owner Martyn reached out to BY Design as he was in the process of rebranding his business, and wanted a new online presence to target work in the South Lakes area.

The new website is a showcase of Martyn's stunning work, for both commercial and domestic clients, is simple to navigate, and is optimised for searches relating to the South Lakes.

We also created a new Google Business profile for Martyn, and assisted with a strategy for gathering customer reviews to boost this new profile.

Old MacDonald had a farm shop, AI AI O.

And in that shop he sold some produce, AI AI O (you get the gist).

Old Mac got in touch with BYD as he is now selling this produce via his website, and wants to get a citation* in AI search, but doesn't know where to start.
