A lovely project from earlier in the summer…

On 12th July Worth Abbey, English Benedictine Monastery in Sussex celebrated 50 years since the dedication of the Abbey Church. Working closely with the Abbot, Monks and team at the Abbey we created two beautifully designed booklets for the day – a multi-event order of service and 50th anniversary booklet – and alongside that, giving a real focal point to the celebration, a large scale exhibition showcasing the history of Worth Abbey, the church and its future plans.

South London’s finest co-educational day school, Alleyn’s, is bringing their world-class educational offer north of the Thames for the first time in the school’s 400-year history. From September, North Bridge Houses campuses in Regent's Park and Hampstead will become part of the Alleyn's family and we have been with them every step of the way on their creative launch path.

Ranked among London’s top ten schools, Alleyn’s has a long-standing reputation for excellence and innovation. Developing branding for the two new campuses built from Alleyn's established 'brand', we worked closely with the team on the partnership 'agreement' through to the launch collateral. Each new campus has a crest developed around the natural environment of the locations but are still clearly part of the family.

From striking advertising running through TFL locations, external graphics across the London boroughs and beautifully crafted brochures, we have loved working alongside the teams at Cognita, Alleyn's and North Bridge House Schools. An Alleyn’s education is "not a road but a river, a vibrant, twisting, turning cascade of experiences" and our iconic 'North of the River' design is playful and eye catching. This ongoing partnership is one we are thrilled to be a part of and we look forward to bringing our design expertise to continued future collaborations.

✨ After another busy year at Mercer it’s always nice to round it out with a bit of recognition, so we are pleased to be amongst the winners of the Southern Enterprise Awards 2024, winning Best Creative Design Studio 2024 - South West.

2025 is promising to be just as eventful, with some exciting new projects to work on, which we look forward to sharing with you all throughout the year.

They said "our website needs to make us look more professional but still feel like us". We replied "leave it to us". Built around a more user friendly framework so that Kate and her team could easily update and refresh the website as required, we created a bold, fun new look. Something that is engaging and bursting with personality but, that clearly shows off their expertise and craftmanship. The new site is simple to navigate through meaning their customers can effectively get to the information they are looking for and, they can now show off their projects with larger, interactive images in the projects section.

Taking inspiration from the new website design we also worked alongside the team to design new exhibition graphics, helping them to stand out from the crowd in busy, sometimes stuffy, commercial exhibitions and events. Small businesses like theirs - and ours! - are built upon personality and a real-person approach. We think we captured theirs just right.

What's better than working alongside one of your favourite clients? Being able to bring in other incredible talents to collaborate with! We love the latest issue of the MKA Review and this time, we had the pleasure of Jessica Smith creating the illustrated cover and theme artwork. The illustrations really bring a sense of fun and style to the magazine and we love how Jess captured perfectly the tone and the meaning of each article within the theme section. This is our fifth(!) issue and shall we say it, our favourite so far?

We love a magazine as a captivating communication tool. It's a great way to tell more of a story, to give more scope to news, to show academic knowledge, to give staff and pupils space to share their work and to fully convey what you are all about as a school. We have vast experience in creating a variety of media, both in print and digitally, for the schools market that does exactly this. What do you think?
