An incredible achievement by the nicest family you’ll meet. If you’ve never experienced Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park then pop down and say hello, enjoy a game of adventure golf and book your next getaway! (We live 10 minutes away but have still stayed in a gorgeous cabin!)

This award is so well deserved. Holme Valley is a truly special place, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to work alongside Naomi and the team for over 10 years now. From logos and brochures to signage and the park map, it’s been wonderful to see the park grow, evolve and gain the recognition it deserves.

As Naomi so kindly says:

What’s in a name?

Just to confuse you, meet Ben & Jane, the team behind Frank & Alex : Brand Therapy.

15 years ago when we came up with our brand name, we thought Ben & Jane sounded a bit like we might make ice cream, (hello Ben & Jerry’s), so we opted to use our middle names Frank & Alexandra. Rolls off the tongue right?!

In hindsight, it’s bloody confusing, and we probably should have started an ice cream empire. Never mind. It’s never held us back!

Your brand name is the first impression people get and ideally, the one they never forget.

It sets the tone. Sparks curiosity. Builds trust. And when done well, it rolls off the tongue and lives in your dream client’s mind.

But choosing one? That’s where our brand therapy sessions come in.

Here’s a quick checklist before you fall head over heels with your brand name:
Does it feel aligned?
Not just trendy, but true to you and what you offer. Don’t choose cute over clarity.
Say it out loud.
Is it easy to say, spell, and remember? Will people get it the first time?
Google it.
Check for existing businesses with the same name (especially in your industry). Not only will you struggle to compete, but it may have been registered or trademarked, so you can’t use it legally.
Check domain availability.
Ideally grab the .co.uk and .com or relevant domain for a few quid.
Secure your social handles.
Even if you’re not active yet, get them locked down.
It doesn’t have to do everything.
As per our brand, a strapline can do the heavy lifting when it comes to explaining what you do.

Have you stayed at yet? We live less than a mile away from there, but we’ve still spent a blissful couple of nights in their glamping cabin by the lake. Nothing like a few days in nature to reset and come home refreshed and ready for anything! They are such a lovely, welcoming team who have worked hard to provide some award winning facilities and fabulous entertainment for all ages, from adventure golf, to crazi bugz, a very cool bbq hut and they even do children’s parties. Throwback to when I modelled for a fashion student at Kingston University — where my creative journey truly began. I’d just started my Art Foundation year: a full 12 months of total freedom, play, and discovery. I was lucky to be surrounded by incredible mentors who encouraged exploration, not perfection.

I came across this photo and it stopped me in my tracks. Somewhere along the way, in the business of growing businesses, I’d drifted from that girl — fearless, curious, and completely lit up by the act of creating just to create.

So here’s to my freedom era.
Back to making things for the love of it.
Back to instinct.
Back to roots.
