Sue Cade: In The Right Order PR My indie agency is called In The Right Order, providing PR, copywriting and social media services in the South West and London

I've always worked in comms of some kind or another - I started out in video production and moved into PR later in life. I enjoy using words well in order to tell a story and I work really hard to achieve coverage for my clients. I've worked in so many sectors now it's hard to keep count! Tourism, renewable energy, construction, retail, agriculture, housing, horticulture, equestrian, medical, finance, transport, you name it!

I've contributed two features for the March issue of Devon Life Magazine - one is about textile artist Chloe Morter, and the other looks at herbal tea business Gathered & Grown. Both were fascinating to write.

And yes, okay, my graphic design ability is zero. But then again, words are my thing aren't they!

Last week I went to Searle House in Exeter to take some photos for HCT Turf for the announcement of Hospiscare as the winner of the 'Turf It Forward' campaign, which offered the chance to win up to 150 sqm of fresh turf, including installation.

We met with Estates Manager Sharon Ewart who showed us the areas to be returfed, at the entrance and in the garden area. I hadn't seen the garden at Searle House before - what a beautiful, tranquil spot it is for patients and their visitors to enjoy.

It's been a pleasure to be involved in the campaign, which HCT are considering running again next year. A genuinely philanthropic gesture. As turf specialist Richard Hockley said at the beginning of the campaign: “With so much negativity in the world at the moment, we really want to do something positive to bring a bit of joy.”

I'll be popping back to Searle House once the installation is complete to see the results. Well done HCT Turf and congratulations to Hospiscare!

Thank you to Breaktime News for covering the 'Everyday Bravery' launch for The Family Law Company.

Nominations are OPEN for anyone who knows someone they think deserves recognition for those little (or big) acts of bravery that too often go unnoticed.

What a privilege to be at the launch yesterday of The Family Law Company's campaign 2.

The beautiful portraits are of people who stepped forward to share their many different experiences when their bravery pulled them through. An audio track played snippets of conversations they'd had at the photo shoot. Not a dry eye in the house!

Lovely as always to catch up with the extremely lovely folk from TFLC and the business community.

Looking forward to pushing out PR for the campaign which is now looking for nominations for more brave people!

PS - there was cake! 🧁

I'm working with HCT Turf on a lovely campaign called 'Turf it Forward!'. It's a little bit different 😁

HCT is offering 150 sqm of turf PLUS installation for one nominee. This is specifically aimed at community organisations, charities, schools or perhaps deserving individuals who have gone the extra mile in their community. Must be in within a 20 mile radius of HCT HQ in Topsham.

All you need to do is provide details of the nominee (self-nomination is fine), an explanation of why the turf is needed and the approximate size of the area to be turfed. Please make sure the turf will be of benefit before nominating.

The judges are Richard and Steff from HCT (pictured) plus guest judges from the local community. County Grounds Maintenance are partnering for the installation - thank you 🙏

Delighted to contribute to this article on pro bono PR services, having been bitten on the bum once or twice in my career - but also, of course, reaped the rewards!

A lovely gesture by client The Fresh Accountancy Company. So many Easter eggs!

🐣🍫 Huge thanks to Ben and Dave from local firm Fresh Accountancy who popped by the Foodbank yesterday with an incredibly generous donation of 100 chocolate Easter eggs!

Ben shared, “While we’re aware that there’s always a need for essentials like pasta, squash, tinned fruit and cleaning products, we decided there was room for a little indulgence too. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy a chocolate egg over Easter, and we hope lots of local families using Foodbank vouchers were able to enjoy them.”

We’re so grateful for their kindness—small treats like this can bring big smiles 💛

This morning's Boost Your Business!

Quite the privilege to hear Benjamin Mee talking about his experience taking over a zoo - yes I'm sure we've all seen the film but this was the real life version.

From the breakout by Sovereign the jaguar (carefully planned for 8 years, clever cat) and the call from Twentieth Century Fox to the continual pressure of raising funds and the opportunities the zoo offers to young people with SEN, service people with PTSD and willing volunteers, it was all fascinating as well as uplifting.

And just possibly Matt Damon snuck in to listen? Surely that's him between Angi Wren and me....
