The Style Angle Helping busy women to get dressed with more confidence and less stress!

08/09/2026

If you grew up going out in the late 90s/early 00s, you’ll know we really did accept a LOT of discomfort in the name of fashion.

- Heels you could hardly walk in (no trainers in sight!!)
- Jeans or mini skirts you could barely breathe in.
- B**b tubes you spent all night pulling up.
- Tiny tops with a bit of string holding them up!
- Ridiculous tiny bag that held absolutely nothing.
- Fake tan that was several shades too orange and verry patchy.

Looking back, some of those outfits were questionable (and frankly, quite indecent!) but there was something brilliant about the whole ritual of getting dressed up. I just loved getting ready with the girls for a night out!

So, have I missed one?

What did you wear for a night out back then that was completely impractical, wildly uncomfortable or that you now look back on and think… what were we thinking?

Tag someone you used to dress up with and let me know your worst offenders below!

And just like that (and I feel like that whizzed past!!) suddenly we’re thinking about autumn.

Are you ready?!

How about this September, let’s reset?

- Think about YOUR autumn style.
- Rediscover your own wardrobe and what makes you feel good.
- Clear out what isn’t working.
- Build simple outfits that make getting dressed easier.

I’m so ready for a new season of helping women feel confident and good about themselves. I have the best job!

As much as I love summer and want to cling on, I’m ready…

If you need any help with your style, what suits you, what you want in your wardrobe and what’s missing, drop me a message to get started.

Style Spotter: Camp Bestival Edition

I know you are loving these Style Spotter posts and I love sharing them.
A packed itinerary and two children pulling me in every direction meant I definitely didn't capture nearly enough amazing outfits but I did manage to snap these fabulous festival looks, and I'm so glad I did!

The themes running through the weekend: Adidas, bold colour, vintage pieces, mini dresses and sequins. Accessories - cross body bags, head scarfs and big sunnies.
I also loved meeting Bronagh from and capturing her look too. It was so lovely to say hello!

Safe to say I've come home with plenty of inspiration for my next festival outfit...
Show these stylish ladies some love in the comments. Which look is your favourite? And if you spotted yourself here, let me know and share to your friends!

You don’t need a whole new wardrobe to create new outfits.

One of my favourite styling tricks to add interest to an existing outfit is to change up your accessories!

Take a simple outfit like a white cotton top and linen shorts. The clothes stay exactly the same, but by switching the accessories you can completely change the feel of the outfit.

🧡 Add a raffia bag, woven sandals and sunnies for an effortless everyday holiday look. Keep it neutral with natural raffia or coloured for something more bold.

🧡 Add a printed scarf - worn on your head, around your waist or simply tie on your bag for a pop of colour and print.

🧡 Add some sea inspired jewellery like a shell necklace along with some coloured beads to elevate your simple look.

🧡 Or add an embellished bag and statement jewellery to make the same outfit feel ready for an evening out.

Accessories are where you can have fun with trying new things and without committing to a whole new outfit and they’re also one of the easiest ways to make your existing wardrobe feel fresh again.

Which one of these moodboards feels most like you? Let me know below…

'My main goal is to have a nice smaller selection of interchangeable everyday items'...

This is something I hear all the time when clients come to me as they wanting things to be more simple.

Like others, she had a wardrobe full of clothes, yet every morning felt overwhelming. Working from home meant a quick outfit formula of leggings and a top had become the default, not because she loved wearing them, but because they felt like the easiest option! This is so common too. She wanted getting dressed to feel less stressful with less clothes and fewer decisions and ultimately clothes that all worked together.

We started her Style Journey with the most important step (even before looking in the wardrobe!) of personalising with a colour palette and defining her personal style. Having these foundations in place makes editing a wardrobe so much easier because you're equipped to make confident decisions about what stays and what goes.

The result wasn't just a capsule wardrobe with fewer, better pieces. It was a wardrobe full of outfits she genuinely wanted to wear. Comfortable enough for working from home, but polished enough to make her feel like herself again.

Swipe to read what she had to say about the experience...

If you're opening your wardrobe every morning and feeling overwhelmed by clothes you don't wear, I'd love to help. My Style Journey is designed to help you create a wardrobe that feels simpler, works harder and makes getting dressed feel easy.
