I’m about to see a client for her Colour & Style Day, and I’m so excited for her! Let me tell you why. Because I know what’s coming. A reset. This is the start of her seeing herself differently, of a new level of confidence and celebrating herself more.

It is not every day I get to say “yesterday I colour analysed staff at Apple HQ.”

My trip to BATTERSEA POWER STATION to the stunning offices at Apple 🍎 was totally off the charts awesome, as was working with the amazing team at Beats by Dre 🎧 again.

If you’d have said to me 3 years ago when I started this business that I’d be doing this now, I’d have laughed in your face. No chance!

But when something is so right, it brings surprising opportunities that, although in some ways feel surreal, actually feel like the most natural thing ever.

I am so very thankful for my journey in this career with House of Colour and was incredibly honoured to represent the brand in this way.

It might sound funny but this was actually a bucket list item of mine, and now it has been well and truly ticked ✅ I feel it’s justifiable to celebrate that!🥂

3 tips when looking for the perfect blazer fit:

There are lots of elements that make up any given piece. But it’s not just about loving the piece - it’s about how it loves you too!

It’s worth knowing a bit before you head out and invest the money, so the piece you choose will earn its place in your wardrobe AND so you’ll feel totally amazing in it!!

The big C might feel ages away, but we’ve already started seeing the odd sparkly dress creeping into the shops🎄This is your sign to start thinking about your Christmas wardrobe now!

This isn’t about more buying 🛍️ Actually I want to give you a few little things to think about to try and avoid the frenzy. A bit of frenzy can be fun, but otherwise you’re looking at a whole lot of wasted money on clothes you might hate by this time next year.

🎄TIP 1: Look at your diary first

🎄TIP 2: Shop your wardrobe first

🎄TIP 3: Decide what your version of “festive” actually is

🎄TIP 4: Don’t buy the “Christmas outfit”

Don’t let the Christmas songs in the background brainwash you! If you don’t need to spend the money, don’t - and maybe you’ll end up a bit less broke by January!

One dress 👗 Completely different impressions.

I’ve styled this dress a few ways to show how much can change when you change the pieces around it. But I want to let you in on something..

This isn’t a “neutral” dress. It already has a strong style of its own. Its shape, proportions, detail and the way it sits on the body are all very intentional.

So styling it successfully isn’t about simply chucking on a different jacket or changing your shoes. The pieces you put with it need to be intentional too.

Understand what characterises the dress in the first place. Then choose things that either lean into that character or have the power to take it in a different direction.

One of these looks is pretty much exactly how I wore this dress myself to a recent event. I felt 🔥 in it and can’t wait to wear it in different ways.

Styling is essentially knowing what actually suits you, what you connect with strongly, and how to put pieces together in a way that feels like you. Then you’ll feel awesome!🙌

Having the right knowledge can make a very specific piece surprisingly versatile. And as a stylist, that’s where I come in. We (sadly) aren’t taught this stuff at school. It’s not (and shouldn’t be) guesswork.
