**SHOP UPDATE**SATURDAY 29TH JUNE**CLOSING SALE**
Hey guys, not done one for a while, so thought I'd update you all.
First of all, still no shop front and no, there's not even an est date for it either. To start off with - Mr Landlord was massively underinsured on the property, so this caused a massive hold up. To add to this, they also wanted the insurance to pay out first, so they could give the builders a deposit. Insurance said "no, get the work done, send proof and then we will pay out" - Mr Landlord wasn't happy with that. So as it stands, (last I heard) he wants to take Little Miss Drive-Thru to court. So, I'd given up hoping by that point.
In the mean time, the business has suffered, the reputation I had built up since the shop opened is now almost gone. I've even rebranded the business, moved to providing business only services (branding and design - Genesis Creative - please follow and share my new page 🙏🏼) and have been working from home since. (Thanks to those who are still working with me! 😘)
In the mean time - I've been chasing my own insurance, 9 months later (yes it's been 9 months now 🥴) I've not seen a single penny for what's happened.
I really wanted to reopen the shop initially, I still go in once a week to process my online orders, but I can't even begin to tell you all how much I hate the site of it now, even just the thought of going in there knocks me sick and honestly I can't wait to get rid of it by this point.
To add to this, unfortunately, I'm no longer in a financial position to be able to open up another premises. I've been told that the; new flooring, decorating, joinery work and shop sign I forked out for originally when I opened up the shop are -not- covered by my insurance. And anyone who has a shop themselves will know just how much all this costs.
The stress, uncertainty and panic of the last 9 months, keeping the business going, getting new clients, rebranding and rebuilding my rep - has been (and still is) something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Imagine spending 15 months putting your heart into something - not only my own shop, but the rest of the community (Hello Horwich) - to have it destroyed by some girls, no doubt "just having a laugh" on a Saturday night. Three girls, all of which, got a taxi home that night and have got off with nothing more but a slap on the wrist for what happened.
SO
In a bid to;
1. Help me get some money back into the business and
2. Help me get rid of some of the stock that's still left so I can get out of there
➡️ I'll be holding a closing sale on Saturday the 29th June ⬅️
This will be to get rid of any prints, candles, cards, stationery, necklaces and frame stock I've got left. I'll also have a few other items to sell (EPOS till & cash register, x2 office desks, some chairs, x2 ikea kallax) and will be adding a section to the website to show what there is, so if anyone can't make it but wants to order and collect/deliver instead, they can.
Please get this date in your diaries and help spread the word, I'll be posting regularly until then to remind you all and hopefully, be one step closer to leaving all of this behind.
