We headed down to Shelter Hall last week for a company update, taking the time to align on performance, share updates across the business, and look ahead to whatโ€™s next.

We recently had the opportunity to take part in a Dementia Awareness session with the Alzheimerโ€™s Society, and it was a genuinely insightful experience for our team.

The session helped us build a better understanding of dementia and reflect on how we can all be more aware, supportive, and inclusive in our day to day interactions.

One of the most impactful takeaways was the five key things everyone should know about dementia:

โ€ข Dementia is not a natural part of ageing
โ€ข Dementia is caused by diseases of the brain
โ€ข Dementia is not just about memory loss
โ€ข It is possible to live well with dementia
โ€ข Thereโ€™s more to the person than the dementia

It was a powerful reminder to always see the person first, not the condition.
