Story time with G so buckle up buttercup.

I have been trying to think about it, to unpick it and racking my brains about why this happened. Mainly as I don’t want a repeat performance and then also because I love learning about myself tbh! Being an analytical Virgo probably also is a contributing factor too!

Specific hooks have just gotten waaay outta control for me. Is there a way to make it clever, not alienate the mass majority yet still speak to the person you want to buy your stuff? Maybe!!

Content is shifting, I smell it in the air! I am so here for it too tbh, it feels liberating. Like we are being rebels from the robots (who is with meeee!) and mostly, I am excited to see people’s personalities again because I have missed that on social. What do you think, like actually THINK?

Do you like reading posts that specifically talk to maybe one or two people or do you prefer the more generic but super useful stuff? Post me your answers!

This one may part the sea, but I actually don’t mind it when people copy me. Because it means I was on to a winner all along, it just reaffirms that I had got it correct (as a Virgo, hellooo I love this obvs!) so ones feathers do not get ruffled.

But I do understand why you feel like that. Because you had the original idea, you put time and effort into communicating that in your own unique way and then someone comes along and does the same thing. It’s even more annoying if they have a larger audience or make money from the idea too, I get it, I do.

I just don’t feel that way myself. It’s easier (and more productive) for me to spend my energy on something else instead of getting mad that someone else copied. I am gentle with what I share and how I share it. If I don’t want anybody to steal an idea, I trademark it. If I am still figuring it out myself, I am quiet about it. I may not share every single detail on how something has worked out for me right away. But when it IS on the internet for the world to consume, I will just get on with building the original idea into something even more amazing and not lose sleep over what someone else is doing.

Tell me though, how do you feel about copycats?

Creating content for a living is my FAV thing to do (for other people!!)

Now if I could just have some of that magic for myself, that would be grand. Ok thanks bye.

Ohhh I love love love this shift for me (and for you too!) and can I just say well done strangers on the internet for finally realising that AI is not the answer, although very helpful at times.

I am so here to celebrate a human brain, an intricate way of thinking, all of the emotions, none of this simulated nonsense. In a world full of answers, it will always be the ones who give their true honest perspective that cut through the BS. Information is readily avails at our fingertips and whilst I love that for people who need it, I also am so bored of seeing carbon copies of brands on social media.

Brands that so desperately wanted to stand out with “good content” have become robots (after using the robots for help it was always gonna happen right?!) and now the peak of real people is starting to pop up around the corner. I am so ready. Here’s to the real humans HURRAAAAHH.

Who says you have to post on your social to get clients? HA.

In all reality though, you do still need to post on your socials... because clients can still find you there. BUT, I am living proof that you can post less and still win clients.

What does this mean for you then? Well, if you are thinking you need to post every single day (and multiple times) just to win clients, you don’t. If you are thinking that you need to be “on” social all the time, you don’t. If you think that one specific post will bring you a client, it might... or it might contribute to it. If you think you have to have a large following or go viral or have every single post pop off so that you get booked up... that also doesn’t matter.

We put so much pressure on ourselves as business owners to always be doing these things, when actually we can post less (but better or well thought out content) and it still have an impact.

Do I wish I had posted more over the summer... kinda yeh! But it didn’t happen, my world did not end, I can come back at any point, I am refreshed, I feel creative again, I loved the rest, I am okay... and so are you my little friend.

Breathe, let’s go again ✨

It’s not lost on me either btw. I literally planned this post out at the BEGINNING of summer and then decided to ghost my own feed (lols) and log off. So I revived it from the drafts and finally got the guts to get it posted even when I literally AM the exact subject.

I will never pretend to have it all together, I will never make you feel rubbish for not posting... I do it too! Finding the time to edit, to create, to even think about content when everything else is going a million miles an hour in your business is hard and I have totally been there myself.

IF you are looking for some outsourced help, comment GRAPHICS for all the sunshiney magic.

That is the question my little mates. As a life long user of Canva, can I just say that I actually love background remover for the ease and peace it puts into my life and I also don’t care that the label exists.

I’m not embarrassed to say I use what other people consider “AI” in my business because I know that all my ideas, my captions and the content I create always has more parts of the real human me than the robots. It is such a brilliant tool, but I will always love the human way of thinking and the juicy gorgeous perspectives that you can bring to the table.

The internet may have gone wild over this new revelation, but I don’t think it’s all bad (apart from background remover, I am still pretty mad about that tbh ha!)

NOT a pity party post by any means, but I did not even reference my business turning six back at the end of July! SINCE then, I have treated myself to something fancy from Kurt Geiger and remembered how bloody brilliant I am obvs... but in the moment back then I just sorta ignored it.

It was a huge tell for me personally, being the easiest post I could have created (zero thinking required) but yet still, I just... didn’t. While in Crete, I was thinking a lot about my content, a lot about how it just didn’t feel like “me” anymore and how I could give it a bit of a revamp.

Then I enjoyed the summer. I didn’t log off intentionally, I just prioritised client work and spending time with my daughter instead, so posting was at the bottom of the list. Is it had to admit that I actually kinda loved that for me. There was no stress, no panic posting, just peace and quiet!

It was the kind of break I did not know I needed, and it made me feel different about EVERYTHING! I’ll be walking and talking more on this subject in the next few weeks, so watch this space.
