I am excited to share with you guys my new accomplishment: Google Cybersecurity Professional 💻 Certification course on Coursera. It was a great journey going through this course and it helped me make a strong foundation for my further career in cybersecurity 🔒.
This is a complete series of total 8 courses which cover various topics on different domains of Cybersecurity. Here's a synopsis of what I learnt through them:-

1. Foundations of Cybersecurity📱 :- Gives an introduction to the field of cybersecurity, its work ethics, past attacks, skills, etc.

2. Play It Safe: Manage Security Risks🔐 :- It laid the theoretical foundation for cyber knowledge containing the CIA triad, NIST Cybersecurity and Risk management framework.

3. Connect and Protect: Networks and Network Security🛡️:- This course taught me the basics of computer networking like network architecture and security, TCP/IP and OSI model, and security hardening.

4. Tools of the Trade: Linux and SQL🖥️
:- It starts with a basic introduction to OS and then advances towards learning Linux command line and SQL for database management. The best part🤩 about this course is that they provide you with cloud-based labs to practice these skills.

5. Assets, Threats, and Vulnerabilities🚨:- Learned about Assets classification, Threat assessment, Vulnerability management, and Cryptography.

6. Sound the Alarm: Detection and Response🧭:-
It was all about detection and incident response, Network monitoring and analysis, Incident investigation and response, and Network traffic and logs using IDS and SIEM tools using tools like Splunk.

7. Automate Cybersecurity Tasks with Python 🐍:- General introduction to Python programming language and its various use styles in automating tasks in cybersecurity.

8. Put It to Work: Prepare for Cybersecurity Jobs 🕵️
:- Finally after completing all the courses above, gained knowledge on incident escalation and its communication with respective Stakeholders.

The journey was great 😃, I was able to complete the course in around 5 months and it was worth it. I would like to thank Google and Coursera for providing such great content. Looking forward to improving my skills and gaining more knowledge to apply them for the safety 🛟 of people in cybersecurity.
