One of the best-performing types of content my clients share on Instagram and across other socials is their founder or business story.
I love bringing these stories to life, whether through video or a carousel with text overlays. Storytelling like this consistently performs well because it creates a genuine connection with the audience, adding depth, warmth, and personality.
Yesterday, I worked on a series of talking videos with a shopkeeper in Cambridge. He wasn’t sure what to say at first, but I guided him through the content. We did several takes, and by the end, we had a great amount of footage. Now, it’s ready to be shaped into a beautiful, compelling story.
I’m not a professional videographer, but with the quality of an iPhone, plus a gimbal and a microphone and thanks to the beautiful natural light yesterday, the footage turned out really well. Now comes the editing stage: crafting a meaningful piece that highlights the strongest moments.
When you use storytelling on social media, you naturally create a deeper connection and stand out from your competitors. No one else has your story, it’s completely unique to you. People are curious, and they want to hear it.
So I encourage you to share your story. And if you need help with ideas or how to bring it to life, feel free to get in touch, I’d be happy to share some personalised tips for you and your business.
