Catalyst Video Services recently spent the hottest two days of the year indoors(!) filming a range of videos for a training agency. Based near to Peterborough, The Transformation Agency provide online courses to help business leaders attain their full potential.

Catalyst were able to help the project run smoothly by providing wireless mics and by loading the agency's scripts onto their autocue system, operated via remote controller.

Once the filming was completed the footage was edited in-house to include title screens and animated informational slides, providing the agency with a series of branded training videos which they will upload to their online training courses.

Catalyst Video Services recently produced an office and factory walk-through for a Peterborough baking machinery manufacturer. The Covid-19 pandemic has meant that potential new customers can no longer visit the facility due to world-wide travel restrictions. The client wanted the walk-through to be filmed in one smooth shot from the office entrance to the far end of their vast factory taking in all office departments, factory locations, machinery and current engineering projects in order to demonstrate the scale of the facility and show how all their departments are connected and on a single site. By careful preparation and rehearsal the filming was achieved in one day (with a return the following day to film staff absent the previous day). The footage was then edited down into a 45 minute video by speed-ramping the corridor sections and any repeated walk-through sections.

Using Kodak Aerochrome presets in Lightroom to give aerial landscape photos an abstract quality. During the lockdown we have been keeping busy with the drone photographing various landscapes and trying a few different approaches. We’ve been intrigued by a discontinued film stock developed by Kodak in the 1940s and when we came across a collection of presets for Lightroom that simulates the Aerochrome infrared effect we just had to give them a go. Aerial photography of Cambridgeshire villages during January snows. Flying the drone in low temperatures requires preparation. The batteries must be warmed beforehand and allowances must be made for reduced flight times due to cold weather affecting the Lipo batteries.
