Hello everyone,
I am writing to share the devastating news that my darling daughter died very suddenly in the early hours of Sunday 7th December. Our whole family are all heartbroken and missing her deeply. We recognise that Charlotte had a huge number of friends, and that her loss will be felt far and wide. We are so proud of her for the incredible and very positive impact she had on so many people who knew her and heard about her. Charlotte touched so many lives with her kindness, thoughtful acts and her unshakeable quest to find joy and connection in every corner of her life, even through tough times. As her family, we now focus on doing our very best to make sure her children are well cared for and that we honour Charlotte by treasuring our lives, the way that Charlotte taught us all to. I love you so much my darling. X###

Well I must admit I was a bit non- plussed at Pantone's choice of "cloud dancer" for its colour of 26. But now I've got my head round it I think it's a good choice because there's something for everyone here (unlike the chocolate moussy colour last year which I for one would have looked dreadful in!).
Soft white is a lovely colour for absolutely everyone - not too warm or cool, it's otherwise known as winter white or even off white. If you're warm toned then you can also add a little creaminess to your white, but if you're cool then you need to keep it fresh and crisp. Softs of course will look best if your soft white is paired with other soft neutrals (so classy!), but people with clarity in their colouring need to pair it with a darker colour to create that contrast. If you're light then pair it with another pale colour and deeps can do with just a little touch of white in an overall darker outfit. Looking forward to seeing lots of fabulous white in 26 - it's not always all about the bright colours!

Well have announced their Colour of the Year for 2026 - "a billowy, balanced white” named Cloud Dancer. It has an “aerated presence” which “acts as a whisper of calm and peace in a noisy world.”. Well we definitely need that don't we!

We don’t all shine the same way, and that’s the magic of colour! Here are some festive colour ideas to bring out your natural brilliance this December:

Lights: light grey, violet and light teal will shimmer beautifully without overpowering you.

Deeps: rich, strong shades - burgundy, pine and scarlet look stunning and are far more interesting than black!

Warms: you were made for festive glow! Choose copper, rust, and golden metallics to bring warmth to winter nights.

Cools: go for crystal-clear shades like cassis, sapphire, and silver - chic and crisp.

Clears: true brights like ruby, bright periwinkle, and emerald turquoise are your festive best friends.

Today I'm wearing a plain navy top and jeans out for coffee - something you could wear most days - but it's the accessories that make all the difference! I popped my scarf and sunglasses on the table and then realised my new pendant makes the perfect trio! I'm so pleased with this piece that I MADE myself at a lovely glass workshop with my daughters with Jane at The Glass Duck. Always good to learn something new and I love it!

I so enjoyed a joint colour analysis for two sisters yesterday - when they arrived they looked very similar and I presumed their palettes would be the same, but no. Although they were both cool, one was cool, clear and light and the other cool, soft and deep - subtly different palettes.
They both absolutely loved their consultation and as one said on seeing her palette "I feel like I've come home".
How wonderful - for them and me!

You can try, but it's hard to step out of your style personality! I decided to buy a neutral scarf and go for the understated luxe look, but I realised afterwards I could not resist the colours and sparkle in this one from . Natural/dramatic right there.( And I've just realised it matches my hair tinsel 🤣)
