Normally we wouldn’t post something like this, something so personal but this is my own Dad’s coffin.

I am proud of it even though it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

If any of you reading this ever go through the same thing we are there for you… 😢💔

CHAPTER 8 MARKINGS

Make sure that you meet your legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 with Chapter 8 Markings available at BUZZ SIGNS.

Importance of Compliance.

Safety: Chapter 8 markings enhance the visibility of vehicles, reducing the risk of accidents, especially on high-speed roads. Vehicles stopping for inspection or maintenance must be clearly marked to alert oncoming traffic.

Legal Protection: While Chapter 8 itself is not a legal document, failing to comply with its guidelines can lead to liability in the event of an incident.

Reputation Management: Non-compliance can result in legal penalties and damage to an organisation’s reputation.

Key Features of Chapter 8 Markings

Chevron Patterns: Vehicles must display red and fluorescent yellow chevron markings on the rear. These markings should cover at least 50% of the rear surface and be made from retro-reflective materials to ensure visibility at night.

Material Standards: Recent updates emphasise the use of R3B-compliant materials, which offer enhanced reflectivity compared to older standards. This is particularly important for vehicles operating on high-speed roads.

Visibility Requirements: The markings should be designed to maximise visibility during both day and night, with specific dimensions for the chevron stripes (at least 150mm wide) and angles (between 40 and 60 degrees).

Available in half kits, 3/4 kits (as shown) and full kits.
