I’m thrilled to announce that my second children’s book, Pick Up All Your Pots and Pans, is now published! 🎉

This picture book follows Faye, a young chef, and her friend Barry Alien as they embark on a fun-packed adventure to save the world from a cooking crisis. It’s a story about teamwork, creativity, and the joy of cooking—perfect for little chefs and their families. 🍎🥕👩‍🍳

I had the pleasure of illustrating the book, bringing Faye and Barry’s colourful world to life. It’s always such a joy to see stories jump off the page through illustration! 🎨✨

Just finished this cheeky little label design for "Dick's Dastardly Pickles" 🥒✨

Sometimes the simplest drawings are the most fun to create! Love how this quirky character and straightforward sketch style gives the homemade pickle jar some personality.

Last summer, I had the incredible opportunity to design three characters for the Big Brush Club, a supervised toothbrushing program. It's been an exciting journey witnessing this program come to life, with my characters playing a pivotal role in teaching children the importance of dental care. I'm thrilled to share some impressions of the program, along with a heartwarming testimonial from Abi Rangecroft, the Marketing Manager at At Home Dental.

“At Home Dental are delivering an NHS funded supervised toothbrushing programme to early years settings across the Southwest of England. We commissioned Julia to design characters to accompany our Big Brush Club brand which would be appealing to our 3-5 year old audience, engaging, fun, native and showing their teeth!

Julia was excellent to work with from start to finish. She tackled our brief quickly and effectively with creativity, professionalism and a very high quality of work. She came up with a range of design concepts for us to choose from, welcomed feedback, and enhanced our chosen characters to a brilliant final product.

The resulting artwork has been used in schools, events, social media, online and as part of training sessions across the region. We enjoyed working with Julia would highly recommend her illustration services.”

It's National Hedgerow Week! 🦉🌻🍀
Collaborating with the The Tree Council for National Hedgerow Week 2024, I got the opportunity to design and illustrate a beautiful pamphlet and poster aimed at educating children about National Hedgerow Week.

Filled with intriguing facts, charming illustrations, and enjoyable activities, this pamphlet is certain to ignite curiosity and foster a greater appreciation for the natural wonders that surround us.
