Good morning!

Guess what's on the agenda today at Firth and Allan Law Photography? Admin extravaganza!

That means we're diving into the thrilling world of invoices and firing off emails like there's no tomorrow.

Now, for all you fabulous folks with websites hosted by yours truly, I've got news hotter than a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Remember during the COVID rollercoaster when I generously let your hosting ride the waves for free? Yep, that was me, your hosting superhero.

But hey, now that we've emerged from the pandemic maze, I'm on a mission. Today, I'm donning my superhero cape again and reaching out to every business to pop the question: Do you still need that hosting magic?

And because I'm feeling extra generous (or maybe just a tad crazy), I've kept the annual hosting package price as low as a budget-friendly unicorn at just £85.

£7.08 per month for an unlimited hosting package!

Just noticed the last time I posted on here, so what's the lowdown Allan?

Firth Media is at the moment enjoying a hiatus, a rather extended one. I am still working in the background with clients, but I am not taking on any new clients.

Firth Media was taking over from Allan Law Photography and that is where I now want to refocus and have been the past year. I also looked at where I was spending my time/effort, and what I wanted to do during and post-Covid.

It taught me that time has more value than £. Not chasing every job, not out working every day and every hour of that day. Time with family and for yourself is important. Burning the candle at both ends is never a good idea for a sustained period.

I will keep the page active however, in the meantime...enjoy life!

Slight readjustment of 'open' hours....

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons were sort of days off if you can call it that. I'm usually about to help clients but the help has now become not having this time off with the wee one.

From 21st February, Tuesday and Thursday will be days off and admin days for the other businesses.

I will be contactable, but unless it's a dire emergency any emails. messenger or texts will not be responded to until the following day.

and I also have Allan Law Photography during the week and weekends. So no...not skiving or being lazy ;)

Another year and it's time to close down the iMac and take some time out for the festivities. 2021 was a rollercoaster, most years are; but wow 2021!

2022 will see some changes at Firth Media, less sub contracted work and more Firth. Stepping away from promoting printed work short term (thanks Covid) and jumping back into the online world.

No online presence for your business - 2022 we can sort that!

Until then, hoping all clients, customers, friends and acquaintances have a lovely festive period, until 2022....it's over and out from us.

Two advertising banners landing at day and boarding nursery/school - Lathallan.

2400mm x 900mm printed on 440GSM outdoor pvc, hemmed and eyelets added as these and others will be dotted around the local are of Johnshaven.

How big can we print outdoor banners? 20 metres max length and 2.9 metres tall max.

A wee update...and taking each day at a slightly slower pace.

Being self employed means I rarely have time off, or didn't. That changed a few months back with having Tuesday and Thursday afternoons off. However, I am slowing things up a little more.

For the past month I have been experiencing chest pains, high blood pressure and generally not 'right' Blood tests all back as 'normal' which has left me chasing the Dr's to find out what is going on.

They have put my chest pain down to pleurisy - an inflammation of the lining of the lungs. This I'm not too sure about and will seeking further diagnosis/treatment. Feeling out of breath and sweating like a shower doing even the smallest of tasks when moving was becoming ridiculous and a little worrying.

As above, it means I can't run at 100% 7 days a week - something had to give. Painkillers and Naproxen throughout the day is not a fix. If things take a little longer than usual - I will explain and certainly do my best as usual, but no more running at 100%

New set of cards all printed up for Purple-Bug Crafts. Printed on 350GSM eco silk with a gloss lamination, supplied with 120gsm white envelopes.

They’ll be available to buy from her Etsy store, local shops and Market on the Green in Drumnadrochit.

For clients with websites built by me, you may have been receiving blank emails.

This was due to a wee glitch within one of the plugins we use across a lot of our sites. I will be working through clients sites to update a core plugin to remedy this.

Nothing worse than a blank email that looks like it should have content. I am aware and on the case.
