When a global cruise trend meets a Highland town with a story to tell 🦆🌍

Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of working alongside the Port of Cromarty Firth, Invergordon Off the Wall and Invergordon Museum to help bring the Invergordon Duck Trail to life.

Inspired by the cruise duck trend seen on ships around the world, the idea was to turn something visitors already recognise and love into a fun, shore-based experience designed to encourage more people onto the High Street 🛳️

From the early ideas and campaign planning to designing the duck decals, building the website, shaping the visitor journey, supporting the launch and helping bring the stories behind the ducks together, this has been a proper hands-on project for the Planit team.

And that’s what has made it so exciting.

It is playful, it is local, it supports businesses, and it gives visitors another reason to discover more of Invergordon during their time ashore.

The best part? This is only the beginning...

The trail has so much potential to grow, develop and become an even bigger part of the visitor experience in Invergordon.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for trusting us to help bring such a brilliant idea to life 🙌

The Power of a Refresh… ✨

You don’t always need to start from scratch to make a big impact. We’ve recently completed website refreshes for both City Sightseeing Inverness Ltd and Tastes of Tomatin, and the results speak for themselves.

Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective and a little polish to elevate your online presence.

A website refresh isn’t about reinventing the wheel, it’s about fine-tuning what you already have to better connect with your audience.

Small changes = big impact.

Is your website ready for a refresh?

Some wins feel extra special.

We’re absolutely delighted to see two of our clients shortlisted at the Business of the Year Awards Scotland 🎉

A huge congratulations to M&H Carriers, shortlisted for Large Business (251+ employees) and Employer of the Year, and Stoddart Crane Hire, shortlisted for Family Business 👏

We had the privilege of supporting both submissions, helping bring their stories, their people, and their impact to life.

And that’s what it’s all about.

Seeing both names on that shortlist is a brilliant moment, and so well deserved.

We'll be supporting them all the way 🙌

Not sure where to start with your own entry?

This is what supporting our clients can look like… 🚴‍♂️

Yesterday was one of those.

Becca was out at the Etape Loch Ness capturing content for Harry Gow, who sponsor the event each year (and keep cyclists very well fuelled along the way).

And this is the bit we love most.

Hearing people talk about Harry Gow. Seeing the queues. The smiles. The “you need to try one of these” moments.

It says everything.

They’re not just part of the day anymore, people expect them to be there. That’s when you know a brand’s doing something right.

Because marketing doesn’t always sit behind a screen. Sometimes it’s about being there, capturing it, and helping people feel what your brand is all about.

Ready to make your brand part of the moment?

Choosing care for someone close to you is a big decision, and it’s not one people take lightly.

Fraser Elite provide private homecare with a focus on doing things properly. Straightforward, reliable support that families can feel confident in.

Over the past few years, more and more families have turned to them, and that kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident.

We’ve been supporting Fraser Elite so more families know where to turn when care becomes part of the conversation.

If care is something you’re thinking about, they’re well worth knowing. 🩵

One thing that’s always been important to us at Planit is giving people the chance to learn, gain experience, and grow their confidence in a real working environment, and that’s exactly why we’re so pleased to welcome Loreta to the team. 👏

Loreta has joined us as a Business Support Assistant back in January and is already making great progress. She has achieved her Intuit Mailchimp certification, is currently taking a course through the Highland Learning Academy, and is continuing to build her skills across different areas of the business, getting involved in projects and learning something new every week.

We’re incredibly proud of how she’s getting on so far, and it’s been great to see her confidence grow in such a short time.

Great to have you with us, Loreta 🌍🩷

Brilliant news for Top Car Services 🎉

Shortlisted for the Community Connector Award at the 1TEC Auto Hub Awards, and the only Highlands garage recognised. A great reflection of everything they do in the community.

Good luck at Silverstone, we’ll be cheering you on! 🙌

❤️ COMMUNITY CONNECTOR AWARD❤️

Amazing news this week. The team at TCS is delighted to announce that we are in the final of the 1Tec Auto Hub awards that take place at Silverstone in May. We are proud to be the only garage in the Highlands to be recognised by LKQ Euro Car Parts

Engaging with the community is something we have always championed with sponsorship, engagement and school events.

CHUFFED 🎉😍❤️

Most visibility problems aren’t marketing problems.
They’re clarity problems.

If it’s not obvious what you do and why it matters, no amount of content, SEO, or ads will fix that.

The businesses doing best right now are the ones who are easiest to understand.

Worth thinking about.

If you want to understand more about this, just ask Planit.

It’s been an exciting couple of months for us at Planit, working alongside Macleod Roofing Ltd Ltd to bring their new Community Fund to life. ❤️

Giving back has always been part of what they do. This just gives it structure, clarity, and a fair way for local groups to access support.

From early conversations through to launch (and even the van design), this has been about taking something they’ve always done and making it easier for more people to benefit from.

And that’s the bit we enjoy most.

Proud to play a part in something that will make a real difference across the Highlands, and proud to work with a team that proves it’s never just about the job! 👏

For 35 years, MacLeod Roofing has been proud to call the Highlands home, and to stand behind the people, groups, and causes that make our communities stronger.

Supporting local projects has always been part of who we are. Over the years we’ve helped sports clubs, schools, charities, and community groups whenever we could, and we only wish we could say yes to everyone.

But like any business, that’s just not possible.
So, to make things fair, open, and accessible to all, we’re introducing a new way to manage the many requests we receive.

We’re proud to launch the Macleod Roofing Community Fund, a dedicated process for local projects, charities, and initiatives making a real difference across the Highlands.

To mark the launch of the Macleod Roofing Community Fund, we’ve added the logos of some of the brilliant local charities and community groups we’ve been lucky enough to support over the years to one of our vans.

Applications are now open, and will be reviewed monthly, ensuring every request is given the same fair opportunity.

From sports clubs and youth groups to community projects and local causes, if your work supports people in the Highlands, we want to hear from you. ❤️

For Highland businesses, planning ahead isn’t a luxury anymore, it’s a necessity.

We’ve recently completed the Help to Grow: Management Course with Robert Gordon University alongside Bonk & Co, taking the time to step back and focus on what comes next.

For us, that meant looking closely at how AI is reshaping marketing, and making sure we’re leading that change, not reacting to it.

For Bonk & Co, it was about preparing for industry shifts while continuing to build on a 50-year legacy.

Different businesses, same approach: stepping back, challenging assumptions, and building with more clarity and confidence.

It’s easy to stay focused on the day-to-day. But the businesses that take the time to think ahead are the ones that move forward with purpose.

If you’re thinking about what’s next for your business,
