We can't keep blaming COVID for delays on everything. Your data, website and business is YOUR responsibility, sorry but it's true.
Hacking isn't hacking if you can't be bothered to update, or get someone to update the website for you!
If you don't keep the backend of whatever updated, you might as well give an admin account with your website.
Seriously, it takes less than five minutes to update most CMS systems like or , you don't need to pay £200 monthly maintenance fees to update it, you can pretty much do it yourself in most (not all) cases.
We would personally say, if you have any doubts about updating your own website, pay someone to do it properly.
Hackers, Spammers & Phishers are often lazy, they'll normally use off the shelf software that 'sniffs' out popular, outdated CMS Systems or Plugins
Not keeping on top of the most basic security updates WILL cause a data leak from the backend of your website..... Trust me, its a LOT cheaper to stay updated than dealing with a PR Nightmare because your customers are being spammed, because of you!
