Make sure your designs are inclusive! 👀

No matter if it’s on social media, emails or website – it’s important that your graphics can be easily viewed and understood by EVERYONE.

Here are some things to check for:

→ Small text size – no one likes squinting.
→ Low contrast colours – hard-to-read words or logos are just frustrating.
→ Alternative text on images – help those with screen readers understand what an image shows.

Colour blindness affects about 7-8% of the population and, as of 2023, at least 2.2 billion people have a near or distance vision impairment.

Emojis in email subject lines? 🤔

Go. For. It.

BUT REMEMBER:

1️⃣ Stick to one or two; too many looks spammy and isn’t great for accessibility.

2️⃣ Use them to support your message, rather than as a replacement for actual words. Otherwise it could get lost in translation.

3️⃣ Depending what OS you’re using, emojis could display one way for you and differently for someone else. No one likes that little box with a question mark in, amiright?
