As some of you will know, I recently trained to become a St John volunteer. Qualifying as an SJA First Aider has opened up all sorts of opportunities and allowed me to give something back at a very difficult time. In my spare time, I have been working in the Emergency Department at Addenbrookes Hospital, helping support staff and patients during COVID-19. I really enjoy being part of their team and can see the difference the volunteers make as well as the amazing work the Doctors, Nurses and other key workers are doing on the frontline.
Unfortunately, the charity’s resources are stretched like never before, but with your help we can continue to support communities during and after the crisis, by training young people and adults to learn how to give lifesaving first aid, including the right preparation to ensure the volunteers can help the nation in emergencies such as the Coronavirus.
With this in mind, I post this to ask for your kind donations, whatever size you are able to make. By donating and supporting our fundraising you will make a real difference in helping us fulfil our vital role during this crisis and continuing our work in the future.
Thank you!
