A Rebellious Vision Brought to Life
It was an absolute pleasure to attend The Rebellious Vision – the powerful and poignant exhibition of works by Sir Claude Francis Barry – at Private & Public Gallery on Friday, 25th July.
On behalf of a local collector and in collaboration with Chris Clifford at & Public Gallery, The Idea Works is developing a new website and catalogue to honour Barry's extraordinary life and legacy.
We're also working with gifted Jersey filmmaker Alex Bond to produce a short film that brings this remarkable story to the screen.

🌸 A Blooming Collaboration for the Battle of Flowers 🌸
We're proud to have worked with Santander International and Wilde Thyme to transform the entrance of the Santander Work Café, Jersey into a vibrant English country garden as part of this year's St Helier Town Takeover.
This floral archway isn't just a display – it's a celebration of creativity, community, and Jersey's rich festival heritage. Designed by our Creative Director, Martyn Aubert, and brought to life with the stunning floristry of Clara Barthorp, the installation has been turning heads and drawing visitors to the high street.
As Martyn puts it:
"It's about creating a sense of place and shared experience – something that stops people in their tracks and invites them to enjoy the moment."

84% of people say they’ve been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a brand’s video.

So, at The Idea Works, we created bespoke, informative and visually striking videos for the National Trust for Jersey Membership campaign.

Working with the The National Trust for Jersey we developed several themes for potential short films. We then storyboarded, wrote scripts and went out on location with Slingshot Films to interview the presenters with close-ups of nature and landscape.

We then demonstrated our excellent video editing skills with titles, graphic animations, facts, and figures, creating a short but impactful call-to-action ‘Join us’.
