Lliam kicked us off this week at BNI with a spot on Givers Gain, using a bottle of wine and a bottle of bleach to demonstrate that what we choose to give matters.

The 45-second presentation winner was Dave, who shared his inspiring personal journey following the recent BNI charity climb up Snowdon. While the mountain may have tested him, the power of relationships shone through. Fellow members rallied around, supplied emergency Haribos, offered encouragement and made sure there was no man left behind. A brilliant reminder that BNI is about much more than business.

Then came the meat.
The sausages.
The debate over Cumberland versus Lincolnshire
And more sausage innuendos than anyone expected before lunch. 😉

But behind the laughs, Debbie gave us a fantastic insight into Perrys of Eccleshall and Perrys Field to Fork. From butchery masterclasses and sausage-making workshops to baking and hands-on cookery experiences, there's something for every taste. Whether you're a complete beginner or a budding chef, Debbie creates experiences that are fun, memorable and leave you with far more than just a full stomach.

A special thank you to our visitors and substitutes for joining us this morning. Another brilliant meeting full of laughs, learning and opportunities to grow our businesses together.

What a day. What a team. What an achievement!

Huge congratulations to our BNI members who reached the summit of Snowdon in support of the Help Appeal - County Air Ambulance Trust . Flying the BNI flag at the top, the team came together to raise awareness and support for a fantastic cause.

A brilliant example of teamwork, commitment and community spirit in action.

Well done to everyone who took part — a truly outstanding achievement!

What a show!
This week's BNI meeting belonged to Dan from IC Internet Central.

Not only did he bring along visitor Martin, but he also received a well-deserved testimonial from Richard Positive Business Communications following their impressive nationwide project with Kingspan.

Then came Dan's feature presentation. Calling it a presentation doesn't quite do it justice. It was a full performance – packed with energy, humour, theatrics and, most importantly, a memorable message about why leased line internet is simply the best internet available. FACT!

We were also treated to the tale of Fred and his 12 magnificent coins. Thanks to some wise advice from a good woman, he invested them in better internet and reaped the rewards for his business. A lesson for us all!

A special mention must go to Juliette Beeston Shenton Solicitors, who took this week's 45-second presentation prize with a story about how proud she is of her son, who has additional needs and has successfully completed his GCSEs. Congratulations!

Whoever is up next week certainly has a tough act to follow!

The HELP Appeal is the only charity dedicated to funding NHS hospital helipads, helping critically ill patients get to emergency care faster when every second matters.

What a great meeting today, with some fantastic energy in the room! Lisa reminded us of one of our core values, “Givers Gain”. These principles emphasise mutual support, continuous improvement, and strong standards that drive business, and it was great to see this reflected throughout the room today.

We also had some entertaining weekly presentations, with Olivia from JMG Insurances taking the floor this week to share more about the wide range of insurance solutions they provide, including some very niche areas, which made for a really interesting talk!

It was also great to welcome several visitors today, sparking some valuable conversations and new connections throughout the room.

And while a few members are away enjoying some well-earned family time in the sun, they were certainly missed!
