What a fantastic day at Albrighton Hall as our Founder and Head of Leadership, Culture and Engagement, Fliss, had the honour of hosting the Shropshire Chamber's International Women’s Day 2026 event.
Fliss opened the day with a powerful framing of this year’s theme, Give to Gain - naming a truth many women quietly carry – ‘we already give’. Time, energy, emotional labour, and expertise.
The real opportunity lies not in giving more, but in gaining the support, clarity and momentum that come from building the right ecosystems around us.
Across the day, Fliss guided more than 60 women through conversations on leadership capacity, boundaries, networks, and collaboration. Through reflection exercises, shared stories and collaborative conversations, she created a space where women could be honest about what feels heavy - and discover that the solution might be sitting right beside them.
We had the privilege of hearing from three remarkable speakers whose stories filled the room with courage, honesty and powerful insight:
💜Kelda Wood MBE, on how setbacks can become catalysts for empowerment
💜Katie Rothwell, on rebuilding identity and reconnecting with the body after pain
💜Julia Buckley MP, on her journey into politics and the role women play in shaping the future of our communities.
The energy in the room was incredible - a reminder that when women come together with openness and intention, so many possibilities unfold.
A huge thank you to the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce team for bringing together such an inspiring community of women – we’re hugely proud to be part of a business community that lifts each other higher.
