From concept to finished product 🐄👜

One of the best parts of this project was being given the creative freedom to step away from the more traditional corporate style we usually produce at and create something with a bit more personality and energy for next week’s, your business expo.

The cow illustration was a playful nod to Milton Keynes itself, mixed with bold colours on the handle of the bag, textured graphics, and a more expressive print style to make the bags stand out at the event.

From a rainy Saturday afternoon in October spent taking far too many photos, to editing every image and carefully laying out each detail, this project came full circle with the final catalogues delivered in January.

It’s a piece that allowed me to bring together the expertise from both of my roles, and . Crafted with intention, the cover features a clean white canvas, balanced spacing, and a striking use of color to create a modern, eye-catching design. The thoughtful composition draws the viewer in while maintaining simplicity and professionalism, while bold typography anchors the layout with confidence. Every design choice works together to communicate clarity, creativity, and contemporary style proving that strong design doesn’t just capture attention, it leaves a lasting impression.

Hey all, so I'm still here just been very busy so here is a little reintroduction from me. My name's Jack now in my 40s 🙈 but doing what I love on a daily basis. As well as a graphic designer and owner of
I work for giving me a great understanding of print processes across multiple mediums and also the importance of having a logo that works at different scales, from the side of a pen to the side of a Van, your branding represents you and should look the same wherever it's placed.

As for this week - What a great merchandise world this week, this was probably my favourite one so far, some great conversations had, followed by the British Promotional Merchandise Association awards. Where I was up for an award for emerging talent within the industry. Thank you to everyone that I spoke with. It's awesome to actually spend time with suppliers and my face being recognised within the industry.

This wrapped up what has been a brilliant year from both a personal development perspective and for showcasing what brilliant work the team are delivering consistently.

Unfortunately I wasn't successful in winning the emerging talent award, but feel this will only drive me further!

Why do you need so many versions of the same logo?

A good logo isn’t just about looking nice, it’s about being usable in every context your brand shows up. From packaging to websites, business cards to social media icons, your branding needs to hold up across the board. That means thinking beyond one version. Dark background? Light background? Social media circle crop? Printed merchandise? These details matter more than most people realise.

I design with all of that in mind. Versatility isn’t a luxury it’s essential. A strong identity includes a logo that adapts, not breaks. I understand how important it is to have vertical and horizontal options, simple icons for small spaces, and designs that stay legible and bold no matter where they appear. It’s not just about looking good it’s about being prepared.

Big moment last week, I had the honour of receiving an award from the BPMA at the Palace of Westminster!
It was an incredible experience and a proud milestone in my design journey.

The course allowed me to learn more about the world of design and print from prepping files correctly, to learning the ins and outs of different print methods across a huge range of products.

I’m not claiming to know it all, but every step, every project, and every experience has shaped me into a designer with a solid grasp of what works especially when it comes to print-based design.

Recently, I took a much needed step back to focus on my mental health and personal growth. Life threw a few curveballs, and I knew I had to find a better work life balance to come back stronger. Now, I’m feeling more grounded, inspired, and ready to fully reconnect with the amazing community I’ve missed.
