My husband said something to me recently that really stuck… that I can sell his talents, strengths, and skills so well, it’s like “selling an igloo to an Eskimo.”
Apparently I’ve got the gift of marketing him like he’s the last limited-edition release of the year.
But when it comes to putting myself out there and sharing my own work… that’s a whole different story. Suddenly I’m like: “This is fine, I guess, if you squint and turn the lights off.” And honestly? He’s right!
This piece was created for a room with a mustard yellow and greige colour scheme — with a brief to include florals and create something that really makes a statement.
So I designed something that brings a wild meadow onto the wall — layers of soft pinks, rich purples, fresh greens, and pops of yellow, all working together to lift and complement the space.
It’s full, a little untamed, and full of movement… like it might politely apologise for taking up space, and then immediately take up more space anyway.
Can you almost hear the flowers rustling in the breeze? 🌸✨
