It’s not everyday we get asked to sell the smell of an 800 year old poo (in fact, it’s not any day). But that is in fact what we were tasked with from the lovely folks at .castle 💩
 
They were looking for a social campaign to promote one of its more revolting attractions: The smelling station – where you can head down to the castle’s cess pit and experience what the scent would have been like all those centuries ago. The sell wasn’t actually as hard as it sounds, as we know from our own kids, they just love anything to do with poo! So we just needed to let people know it existed.
 
We came up with the idea to create a parody of Britney Spear’s Toxic, changing the lyrics to tell the story of the poo chamber (as we call it). You can imagine our team sitting around the table debating the best rhymes for ‘poo’ and ‘cess pit’. We have fun.
 
With so many fascinating (and gruesome) stories across Medway’s heritage sites, from its brutal battles to secret torture chambers, watch out for further roll outs and parodies throughout the year.
 
A big thanks to for the inspired brief on this one, for their support and of course to our star of the show, Madeleine, for being brave enough to sniff the smell station scent for multiple takes! (Sorry about that, Madeleine).

There are over 11,000 charity shops across the UK, full of branded stuff, brand new stuff… giftable pre-loved stuff. Stuff that most of us would typically be embarrassed to give as a gift.

That’s why we have created packaging that celebrates the fact it’s ! Better for charity shops, our pockets and the planet.

And thanks to Demelza Hospice Care For Children, this display at their Maidstone store, which is gearing up for their big sale event later this week, is the perfect example of how we’re getting rid of the charity shop stigma.

Happy Birthday to us! 🎂🥳

Three years ago we started an independent creative agency built on one rule and one rule alone…
Creativity is everything.

The timing wasn’t great (cheers 2020). Having zero clients wasn’t brilliant. And our situation wasn’t ideal (launching a business whilst locked down with a 4 year old, 1 year old and 20 year old Beyoncé singing parrot). Oh the fun we had.

But from what started with just the two of us (Amy Parkhill, William Upfield), Ideas and That has grown into a dreamteam of 14 creatives: , , , , , , .

We’re immensely proud of the work we’ve done with some awards along the way too! So because our mums aren’t on LinkedIn to tell everyone how clever we are, we’re doing it ourselves with some of our best bits from the last year. A huge thank you to our wonderful clients who have been part of this journey with us.

And now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off for a slice of… gin. We’re off to drink a lot of gin.
