If you’ve spent good money having your car wrapped, please don’t immediately take it through the local brush wash 😂

Looking after a wrap really isn’t complicated, but there are definitely a few things that’ll do it absolutely no favours.

Automatic washes, blasting a pressure washer straight into the edges, leaving bird s**t sat on it, throwing random chemicals at it… you get the idea 👀

And probably the biggest one:

If you notice an edge starting to lift, don’t start picking at it. 😂

Send us a photo and let us have a look before a tiny problem becomes a considerably bigger one.

Look after it properly and keep it clean. It doesn’t need babying, it just needs a bit of common sense.

Save this one for when wash day comes around 👀

A few bits we’re actually allowed to show you from the HRL camera roll lately 😂

There’s been a LOT going on behind the scenes that never makes it onto social media, so sometimes what you see on here is only a tiny part of what we’ve actually been working on.

But the stuff we can show you has been pretty varied too 👀

Cars, kitchens, commercial stuff, diggers, floors… genuinely never know what’s coming through next.

Busy is good though 😂🤝

We’ve wrapped cars worth a few grand and we’ve wrapped cars worth more than some houses 😂

And genuinely, it makes absolutely no difference to us.

You don’t need a brand new Range Rover, Porsche or £100k car before you’re “allowed” to spend money making it look how you want.

Sometimes it’s someone’s cheap daily that they’re planning on keeping for years.

Sometimes it’s their pride and joy.

Sometimes they just fu***ng hate the chrome 😂

If you like the car and you want to change something about it, that’s enough.

Could be a full colour change.

Could literally just be a black roof, dechrome or a couple of details.

The badge and price tag aren’t what make the job worth doing.

Funny what you actually remember when you look back at everything we’ve done at HRL.

Not necessarily the biggest jobs or the ones with the biggest invoices either.

Our first bike sticker kit.
Our first full colour change.
The first kitchen we ever wrapped.
Our first giveaway prize.

Then somehow getting asked to do a car for Robbie Williams’ tour 😂

And eventually getting the keys to our own unit.

At the time, each one was just the next job or the next thing we were trying to figure out.

Looking back now though, they were all little moments where HRL became something more than it was before.

We’ve still got a long way to go and plenty more we want to do.

But it’s nice every now and then to look back and think…

f**k, we’ve actually done some pretty cool s**t 😂

£2,500 vs £700… 👀

A chap came into us recently and told us he’d been quoted around £2,500 to signwrite his van.

After actually looking at what he wanted and what the van needed, we did the job for £700.

And no, this isn’t me saying someone was trying to rip him off 😂 I didn’t see their full quote, so I don’t know exactly what they were offering.

But it does prove something.

You don’t have to cover every inch of a van to make it look like you’ve spent good money on it.

Good design. Graphics in the right places. Clean fitting.

Sometimes that’s genuinely all it needs.

More vinyl doesn’t always mean a better job.

This is the same worktop 👀

No ripping it out. No replacing it just because the finish wasn’t wanted anymore.

We wrapped the existing surface in architectural film and gave it a completely different look.

Worktops are something we probably don’t show enough on here either. Everyone sees the kitchen cupboards we wrap, but depending on the existing surface, there’s plenty we can do with these too.

And because they’re actually used every day, the material and the way they’re fitted matters.

You’d be surprised what you can actually do with a £500 budget 👀

I think sometimes people look at the full wraps we post and automatically assume they need to spend thousands before it’s even worth messaging us.

You really don’t.

Depending on what you’re wanting, there are loads of smaller changes we can make that still have a massive impact.

So instead of thinking “I probably can’t afford what I want”, just tell us what you’re working with.

Give us a budget and an idea of what you want to change and we’ll tell you what’s realistically possible.

No point trying to sell you £2k worth of work if you’ve got £500 to spend 😂

Well this was a bit different 😂

Cars, vans, kitchens, windows, floors…

Now apparently we’re wrapping diggers.

And I’m not complaining because this one looked proper when it was finished 👀

Definitely one of those jobs that makes people realise just how much stuff vinyl can actually be used on.

Another random one ticked off the HRL list 😂

What are we getting asked to wrap next then?

Why has every kitchen suddenly become beige? 😂

Don’t get me wrong, we’ve wrapped plenty of neutral kitchens and some of them look unreal.

But if you’re having your kitchen changed, you don’t have to choose the same thing everyone else has.

We’ve fitted bold colours, dark finishes, woodgrains, textures, bright colours and plenty of combinations customers have come up with that I probably wouldn’t have thought of myself 😂

That’s one of my favourite things about wrapping them.

You get to make it yours.

Believe it or not, we don’t say yes to every wrap job that comes through the door 😂

Sometimes the surface isn’t suitable. Sometimes the paint underneath worries us. Sometimes what someone’s asking us to do just isn’t something we’re confident will give them the result they’re expecting.

Could we take the money and have a go anyway?

Probably.

But then it’s our name attached to it when it doesn’t last or doesn’t look right.

So occasionally the answer genuinely is:

“I wouldn’t wrap that.”

Probably not the world’s greatest sales technique 😂 but we’d rather lose a job than sell someone something we don’t believe is right.

We’ve definitely been asked weirder. 👀
