Before someone contacts your business, there’s a good chance they’ll have a little nosey first. πŸ‘€

They might look at your website.

They might Google you.

And they might check your social media.

What do they find when they get there?

An active business that looks current, approachable and very much open for business?

Or a page that hasn’t been touched for months? πŸ™ˆ

Social media isn’t just about getting likes.

It helps people get a feel for who you are, what you do and whether they trust you enough to take the next step.

Think of your social media as part of your shop window.

Make sure the lights are on. 😊

Do you know who your customers are… ? πŸ‘€

It sounds like an easy question.

πŸ‘‰πŸ»β€œMy customers are small businesses.”
πŸ‘‰πŸ»β€œI work with homeowners.”
πŸ‘‰πŸ»β€œI sell to women.”
πŸ‘‰πŸ»β€œI want to reach professionals.”

But that’s a LOT of people. πŸ˜‚

The more you understand who you actually want to reach – where they are, what they need, what they worry about and what makes them stop and listen – the easier social media becomes.

Because when you try to talk to everyone, your posts can end up speaking to no one.

πŸ’‘ This week’s Top Tip: Get specific about who you want your posts to reach.

It might completely change what you post next.

"But how would you know what to post about MY business?” πŸ€”

Good question.

And the answer is... I don't just guess. πŸ˜‚

I get to know you.

βœ”οΈYour business.
βœ”οΈYour customers.
βœ”οΈWhat you want to achieve.
βœ”οΈHow you naturally talk.
βœ”οΈWhat makes your business different.

Then we look at what's actually happening in your business and turn that into content people will want to see.

You know your business.

My job is to help you tell people about it.

And most importantly, it should still sound like YOU, not like you've suddenly swallowed a marketing textbook. πŸ™ˆ

πŸ”” Just a little reminder...

Social media slipped down your to-do list again? πŸ™ˆ

One week becomes two. Then three.

And suddenly you realise you haven't posted for a month.

You don't need to post every day.

You just need to keep showing up.

And if finding the time is the problem?

That's exactly where I can help. 😊

πŸ‘Ό Facebook. Instagram. LinkedIn. TikTok...

Do you really need to be on ALL of them? 😩

No.

One of the biggest mistakes I see small businesses make is trying to be everywhere.

They set up every account, struggle to keep them all going... and eventually stop posting altogether.

Instead, ask yourself:

Where are my customers actually spending their time?

Start there.

It's far better to show up consistently on one or two platforms than spread yourself so thinly across four that none of them get your attention.

You don't need to be everywhere.
You need to be in the right places. 😊

Which platform do you find hardest to keep up with?

Does social media sometimes feel like another full-time job? πŸ™ˆ

You've got customers to look after, emails to answer, quotes to send... and a business to run.

Then you remember:

β€œI haven't posted anything this week.”

Sound familiar? 😩

That's exactly why I do what I do.

I take social media off the to-do list for busy business owners and help them stay visible while they get on with running their business.

Because you don't need to spend your life on social media.

You just need to keep showing up. 😊

πŸ‘Ό TOP TIP: Don't judge your social media by likes alone.

Posted something and hardly anyone liked it? πŸ™ˆ

Don't assume nobody saw it.

People scroll. They read. They remember.

They might even look you up weeks later when they need what you do β€” without ever liking a single post.

So don't disappear just because the likes aren't coming in.

Keep showing up. Keep being useful. Keep being visible.

Because being remembered is far more important than being liked. 😊

Haven't posted on your business social media for a few weeks?

Or maybe a few months? πŸ‘€

Here's my advice...

Don't make a big thing of it. Just start posting again.

You don't need to explain where you've been.

You don't need to apologise.

And you definitely don't need to write:

"Sorry I've been quiet on here..." πŸ™ˆ

Your customers probably haven't been sitting there counting the days since your last post.

Pick something useful, interesting or simply something that's happening in your business today.

And post it.

You've started again.

Easy. 😊

Does this sound familiar? πŸ™ˆ

You know you need to post on social media.

You open Facebook or Instagram.

Press 'create post'...

And then stare at the screen because you've got absolutely no idea what to say. πŸ˜‚

Here's an easy one for you.

Show people what you're doing today.

It doesn't have to be exciting.

At your desk? Take a photo.

Off to see a client? Tell people where you're going.

Packing an order? Show them.

Working on something behind the scenes? Talk about it.

We sometimes get so caught up trying to think of something clever to post that we forget people are interested in the everyday stuff too.

So, if you haven't posted today...

What are you doing right now?

There's your post. 😊

πŸ’‘ Be consistent, not constant.

Do you ever feel like you should be posting on social media ALL the time?

You really don't need to.

I'd much rather see a business posting 2 or 3 times a week with something worth saying than posting every day just for the sake of it.

The important thing is to keep showing up so people remember who you are and what you do.

And believe me, after neglecting my own social media for a while, I'm taking my own advice on this one! πŸ˜‚

So don't put yourself under pressure to post every day.

Just keep showing up. πŸ’™
