We are so delighted to see Raymond's site go live. It has been an absolute pleasure to work on and great to be part of his next business adventure.

Hello! I've been fortunate during my career to fulfil some of my ambitions and for the last 15 years that has meant working as a wildlife cameraman filming in some amazing places, filming wonderful creatures and working with some incredibly talented people, many who have become firm friends.

What many of you probably don't know is the factual tv sector has been in a massive downturn these last 18 months with work for freelancers like myself particularly hard to come by, my last commissioned work for example was in Gabon for the BBC last September.

I had thought about this for a few years now so I'm really happy to say I'm now taking a new path and excited to be moving in a different direction (albeit a slightly sideways one!) with my new venture 'Orkney Nature'.

I've been working away at it this year already and I'm now offering wildlife guiding for individuals and small groups, photography tuition for beginners as well as bespoke day tours and longer bespoke trips for people who want a more dedicated, in depth look at Orkney's wildlife. As always there are a few things to iron out as I get started, please be gentle! 😄

This year I've been collaborating with my good pal Brydon Thomason at Shetland Nature to get me in the swing of things and have had the good company of people on day trips and one to one photography tuition already. Thanks to everyone who has helped and encouraged me so far to make this a reality.

I'll still be working away on wildlife photography as always and further down the line will see the appearance of my Youtube channel where my ginger compadre will be accompanying me on my Orkney adventures!

Employability Pathway Launch!
Jeepstar is excited to be kicking off our 10-day countdown to the launch of a NEW Employability Pathway website.
The Employability Pathway website is a no-fuss guide for anyone seeking information to support them on their employment journey and will launch in 10 days’ time on Thursday the 29th of August.

It’s the brainchild of Orkney’s Jedi Council - a group of local people with experiences of job seeking and local employability support services.
The ‘Employability Pathway’ aims to cut through jargon and help people quickly find support relevant to them.

Jedi councillor Nikki Flett said: “Our mission was to make it simple for everyone to see what help is available and how to get it.”

Kerry Spence, the Chair of the Local Employability Partnership said “The aim was for the resource to highlight various support and pathways available locally to help people along on their learning and employment journey"
